English: I think that your local hub is open for "external" users too. If you are Dding smth from them, this situation is fully normal, because the speed between your network and "external" user's network is usually several times slower than the speed between you. My Russian is bad, please excuse me if I have used excessively "ь" "ы" "э". ;)

We have it in Apex:

Terminating downloads from people using oDC-based clients
Zlobomir replied to Ð.Sp!dér's topic in Feature Requests
We can't get their filelist because WE DO NOT WANT. ;) -
I think you can use the dyndns updater for this, but really it will be good to have such feature built-in in Apex. Not very clever though, since you will need such tool in each web application (lots of resources), while the dyndns updater does it for the "whole PC". And why your router restarts so often?

Will Apex OP support NMDC filelists? It will be necessary, if an OP wants to check an old-fashioned user.

OK, I'll try to explain better: C:\TorrTemp C:\TorrDCShare\ C:\TorrDCShare\Music\blabla C:\TorrDCShare\Movies\blabla .... 1. All currently downloading torrents go to C:\TorrTemp\*.ut 2. When some *.ut completes, it will be moved by uTorrent in the appropriate folder C:\TorrDCShare\Music\blabla or C:\TorrDCShare\Movies\blabla. 3. These two folders are also shared in Apex. 4. In Apex, enable "Add finished files to share instantly (if shared)" If not with uTorrent, it should be possible with BitComet, try whether it stops too.

Argh, I must say I'm getting jealous. Congrats SMT. Well, he gives only alternative, and not violating the license. We have far more "stealing posts" staying for a long time. About no. of segments... It helps you get the file faster, release the source faster, distribute faster. It is all relative.

Well, good look. If it is public, please inform us, we may find some nice ideas in it, who knows? ^_^

[Bug] Change colors/userlist icons diaappered
Zlobomir replied to dagoburd's topic in Pre 1.0 Reports
From the GUI, right-clicking with RMB on Ignore (Unignore). Sorry for not being specific above. Edit: It does not matter. Tried throughout Setting>>Misc, both Remove and Clear, when click on OK and return, the entries are there. Guess I need to manually edit with Notepad now... And restarting Apex does not help. Edit 2: OK, last revision, it seems OK if I remove entries via Settings, then Restart client (maybe reconnect to hub is enough). Does not seem to write properly in Ignores. -
Actually both sides lose... But since it is better for 99.9% of us to have TTH check on, sorry, it is your choice to discard Apex.

[Bug] Change colors/userlist icons diaappered

I can't reproduce too. But when I clicked on Ignore User, then Unignore, then Ignore another user (OK, played a little bit several times), they started to change color to Normal for a very short time, or more likely: 1. Ignore two users (A and B ) 2. Unignore user A (all OK up to here) 3. Unignore user B (user A gets Ignored again AUTOMATICALLY, user B becomes Normal). Please split to new topic if necessary. -
AFAIK when you seed you can still use the file (f. ex. you can play a file you are seeding). And hashing is again some action with the file... Have you checked the option in uTorrent "Add *.ut for incomplete files"? And about this *.ut files, Place them in sone Temp folder, so they do not fall in Apex share. Then, set uTorrent to move the *.ut files in the appropriate place (your DC++ share) upon completion of torrent download. I believe this scheme worked for me before...

IMHO he is just explaining in the most polite way that there are more important things, so you don't expect this to be fixed for sure in the next release, and be more angry if it doesn't. In case anyone of you is already angry, please cool down. :)

May be so, but 1.16MB/s is worse than 486 I guess. Except that, older MBs do not support larger HDDs, and in case he has some external USB, or many small HDDs - it's probably bad configuration or wrong PIO/UltraATA settings in BIOS, or 40-pin IDE cable...

I would propose to start with explaining the Advanced settings, sooner or later each user should setup the program to suit him best.

Terminating downloads from people using oDC-based clients
Zlobomir replied to Ð.Sp!dér's topic in Feature Requests
You remember what Einstein said about the universe and human stupidity? STOP this client vs. client war. It can only make things worse. Things should be as compatible as possible, and if we add the support for non-TTH back, they will be compatible. -
I believe there is nothing wrong here, probably you see the downloading of each 1MB block. The speed may be not fluent, and this mkes you think you are losing smth...
-
Yep, the first one. Another way is to find space for a new button - TTH Search.
-
And auto put strike through on PM when user goes offline and return to normal font when user returns.
-
Oops, did we had a public release before 0.2.0? Still, it's s not wrong as it is now, specified.

Oh, I thought it looks like I'm trying to persuade him. :P

If Greg's theory of laziness is right the range should be 1-9. :P
