  1. Runtime error! R6002

    I get it immediately when I start Apex and WMP classic, possibly other appz too. The strange thing is that zK++, which I have installed for testing, starts OK. Please help me, I guess a malware has s*rewed some *.dll/s, but do not have any clue which one/s exactly.
  2. Message Filtering feature

    Just my personal experience seems to be with "stupid" bots. You are right, bots will adapt in no time. But what about the anti-spam question?
  3. Agreed, also remember and apply one and the same column width and window size for: all hubs - option one / each hub - option two.
  4. Message Filtering feature

    I meant a spammer usually types: <Stupid Spammer> Hi, check http://this.stupidurl.org and a friend usually types: <Friend> Hello, how are you? <You> I am fine, thanks. <Friend> Are you opening http://someurl.org ? So, in the first case when the opening line contains URL, I think the message can be blocked for good. If you can, please upload the script and the updated files here... :whistling:
  5. Message Filtering feature

    I had an idea before for blocking all PMs containing URL in the very opening, or even implement some QIP-like spam protection - as a reply to his message the user receives a test question, like 2+2=?, and when the user enters "4", he already can write freely.
  6. Notification emails from administrators

    Same with me, at least 4-5 notifications...
  7. Please help me... What is this APEXdc all about?

    IMHO it is more like a connection/firewall problem, since he does not get "Turn on your tags", as it should be if emulation is required.
  8. PeerGuardian settings explained

    Try with only Outgoing connections checked.
  9. PeerGuardian settings explained

    To do hell? Hell no. Just run a second instance/client with different nick and useless share in the hub where he is. Apart from the lame approach, I do not have a better idea. :)
  10. Blocking specific IP's in ApexDC++

    IMHO it's a typo, he probably meant "you will learn how to" And I can hardly imagine a plug-in v. 1.0 to an application v. 0.4.0, but this is for the Devs team to say.
  11. Sharing GUI

    Yeah, and fix the issue when removing virtually-named folders...
  12. Merry Christmas!

    /ot Samsung 920N? /ot
  13. Can't get filelist

    No, there is nothing that can be done. We did not left the oDC support, AFAIK DC++ did. The best thing I can offer you is to try to persuade users switch to Apex DC++ or some of the newer clients with *.xml filelists. There are many benefits if they do that, including bug fixes and very small chance to get a corrupted file. If you like, search the forum, we have at least two topics on this.
  14. Released: ApexDC++ 0.4.0 (Preview 4)

    Thank you very much, but I was suspicious about this and expected something similar. :)
  15. Merry Christmas!

    Hm, I also remember more snowy years, my father even told me for an accident near our train station with a train, powered by steam tank-engine (not the modern fragile toys ), which got stuck in a snow-drift. The creek near our town have also seen better days, the passage through it gavethe name and has created the original settlement in the past, and now it looks almost like a canyon, when you look the dry sharp watersides. Still the very same little creek almost managed to reach its old levels during some heavy rains in the previous 2-3 years, thus making a devastating flood, like in many areas of the country. Of course, the bad condition (and in some places, the absence) of canalization and other preventive means as pumps, etc. also helped, but we had a visible layer of water in our garden, which came only from the rain (OK, the river helped only because its level was too high to let the sewer system work properly). At some places many solid stone and brick-built houses were destroyed. Oh, sorry for the off topic. :)
  16. Merry Christmas!

    No snow in Finland? For Brazil you should not expect however. There is some here in Bulgaria, not snowing right now, but remained on the unfinished roof of our garage (cleaned it out before 30 min). :)
  17. Merry Christmas!

    Thanks for the topic Lee, and especially for the notice, I bet you have some present(s?) for us. Regarding X-mas, it is also my name-day (and I pretend for Easter too). Here we have a large round bread instead of turkey with different wishes, written on parers and put in it. It is really weird to accidentally swallow the "health" paper, thus causing digestive help problems, but it may happen. Before the home-making of this bread was almost a law, but now also ready cakes are sold... So Merry X-mas to all, who are celebrating it!
  18. [support] smileys

    Hello, thanks for the wishes, have happy holidays too. On your idea, as far as I know, when you type f. ex. :*), it just calls a small *.jpg, and I don't know how the "reverse translation" to :*) can be made. Sure, there should be a way since in Skype this feature already exists. They Use our /me, so we may use soomething from there, who knows... :)
  19. Some fun

    http://callcentermovie.com/movie/F8MedKf150.swf And maybe pin the topic?
  20. [Support] Repetitive crashing since 0.3.0

    Oh yes, if this means some of the Creative drivers, they are "great", f. ex. SB Live driver. :P
  21. ApexDC++ for Linux

    Actually why, if it comes "user preconfigured" and it is clear for the regular user which settings NOT to play with. So it wont eat much RAM, only will take slightly more HDD, and IMHO nobody should care for this. The advantages: only one client - faster development, less bugs, easier support.
  22. [Support] Repetitive crashing since 0.3.0

    or with the RAID card... http://forums.apexdc.net/index.php?showtop...003&hl=RAID However then there should not be even a try for report, but here the OS is different.
  23. ApexDC++ OP

    Still it may be useful, f. ex. it has User list background to set.
  24. Updates

    Beware, software! Stay aware! :D
  25. Just to let all "enjoy the silence": Donec eris sospes, multos numerabis amicos. Tempora si fuerint nubila, solus eris. As long as you are wealthy, you will have many friends. When the tough times come, you will be left alone. Qui tacet, consentire videtur. He who keeps silent is assumed to consent. (I never knew the Latins had Google access. But anyway, remain silent to agree with them.)
