This bug report favors the issue I have came across with many users and the recent one of a user not being able to connect to any hubs at all. I think all these types of reports are related in one way shape or form. I just ain't sure how to duplicate to tell Crise where I think the issue is. If anyone is able to duplicate this then please do give as much info as possible.

It's only racial discrimative if thats the way you look at it. Why does everyone have to look at the bad in everything. Can't you just give a compliment that the Management team is trying to do something to better bug reports and such. No, instead you wanna go on about how you think they are being racial because THEY setup THEIR board the way THEY wanted it and NOT how YOU think it should be. Not to mention 85% of the people on this board can read, speak and understand English. You read this thread didn't you? There is to much of this kinda crap that goes on. Just accept it and go on it's really not a big deal yet you wanna make it out to be. On the upside of things. I agree...Its a waste and shouldnt be implemented. It will only lead to more problems around the community.

Have you verified you have the correct IP in settings and using a port such as 20005 for both TCP and UDP and have both open in your router?

There is already a similar feature. If you add the user as a favorite user then go to the favorite user tab and right click there name you can choose an option to bypass the limiter. As for the rest of your request I am not sure if that would play a vital role in Apex as it stands but you will see the outcome I'm sure :)

Do you have to use the UPNP feature? If not try doing the active with manual port forwarding feature. It may be the UPNP isnt working correctly for you. If not let us know one of us will be glad to help you if we can

I don't think OP's should be allowed this feature. Yeah sure we as OP's reserve the right to hide our share but our files still will come up in search. I think the feature is totally stupid for users, ops, admins, and owners all together.

Your welcome. Just go to the properties of your favorite hubs and you will find what your looking for. :rolleyes:

I believe this can be done already. For your "Internet" connect set the connection settings in the main settings of Apex. For the "LAN" set the connection settings found in your favorites that you use to connect to your LAN hub. Some also prefer to run multiple clients. I also think there is another way to do this but the above is usually how I handle such thing.

We know. Denying access to your share is cheating and leeching. In DC we promote sharing. If you wanna cheat and leech I would suggest finding another p2p program cause the people of DC are fed up with this type of material. This type of feature only gets you kicked and even banned from hubs. So, once again to recap what we have told you here "It's a stupid idea, it's never going to happen, and it's just dumb to think something of nature would be implemented."

Do you use a router? If you do then you need to set the connection settings to manual with port forwarding and forward the ports in your router to become active. If you cannot get active then by defualt you must use the passive connection. Post a little more about your equipment and if you have a router what make and model is it. I will help you out the best I can.

I do not think the blue screen issue is related to ApexDC. If you received the BOSD then most likely Apex errored on close due to windows crashing resulting in BOSD. One of the most common types of BOSD would happen if the memory resources of the computer itself were maxed. This would cause all open programs to max out and close unexpectedly. Anytime a program closes unexpectedly without proper shutdown you stand the chance of losing all data and returning itself to default. This is just first nature in any computer software. However I do think your other issue is related to the issue I am having. I also have a hunch on a bit of where the issue may of generated from and am currently testing this theory and will report my findings to Crise and Lee.

This type of issue with the connecting sounds like the same type of issue I was trying to report before the release of Apex Final. Only difference is you are having the issue not only with downloads/uploads you are having the issue connecting to any hubs at all. I have many people who all the sudden there downloads/uploads just quit for no reason and it takes several restarts and maybe even a timed break before it works again. I wonder if the 2 issues aren't related in some way. The only thing I haven't experienced with this same general issue you are having is this blue screen you are reporting.

Recently with the new builds of Apex we now have submenued usercommands. This gets on your nerves especially when you OP in a hub and the commands are submenued anyhow. As I understand this could be a useful feature to some users I was wondering about putting a setting in to allow you to choose if you wanted this style or not. Just a thought as I have lost dramatic speed in my right clicks in the hubs because of this. It takes longer to go through a submenu then another and another to get to what I want.

I really think that has nothing to do with the request or the questions at hand.

I can understand what you are saying here Crise allthough we aren't asking for it to be remove totally. We are asking to have an option to create the submenu or not create the submenu. Now C++ is not my choice of coding but surely adding a small feature like that couldnt cause that much of an issue in the code could it? I await patiently for your feedback as I am not a C++ coder and interested to hear your answer to this. :)

Suggestion? Make sure the IP Guard default is set to allow or it will block all connections to the hubs and users. I had the IPGuard default to deny and had this issue. Check that setting and report back

How is it irrelevant when anyone who host a hub should be using PG of some sort. It has been known for a long time that PG is a good way to help prevent these agencies from connecting or entering the hubs. Why all the sudden do you feel that its irrelevant to DC? If I am missing something here then I apologize, but I would like a bit more explanation on your irrelevant theory. :)
