At the moment, there is no intention to add this to the client.

I meant the limiter tags. :(

Hopefully we will have learnt from this and will avoid any such problems in future. :)

Argh, I actually really needed something like that last night... For like the only time ever.

Hehe, ironic that the anti-leecher features are the ones to get you kicked. :)

The winamp thing is, I think, fairly advanced because it's setting what is displayed when you use the /w command. You could state what all the different things that could go in there are, but I think that is outside the scope of this guide.

I would have thought it'd be something like the maximum number of sources a file already has before Apex will not autosearch for the file. In other words, if a file has that number or more sources, Apex will not automatically search for more? Not totally sure though, but presume that's what it is.

He wants more sources so he can download more/faster. Seriously, if Crise intergrated this then I'd be very happy. :)

Indeed, I donated money to Apex before they even was a Subscriber group... Back then you didn't get access to the beta versions. Also, Subscribers (are supposed to) only get beta versions of the client, not alpha versions, so stabilility generally shouldn't be a major issue.

Firstly, Feisty Fawn is going to be the next Ubuntu release, currently scheduled for release on 19 April 2007. Secondly, forsimilicity as I have said before, I strongly suggest you use install.exe. (Click here for further information.)

I have made suggestions in relation to emoticons in the past I believe, which could be achieved mostly with the existing method of emoticons. However, even if my suggestions were to be implemented, emoticon packs are not usually included in updates as far as I'm aware... Pointless having these emoticon pakcs etc. if other people don't have them.

After you've installed Linux you then install WINE. Preferably install Ubuntu then you can add it fairly easily... maybe just apt -get WINE in the console, not sure... not used Linux in going on a year now so not exactly sure on much. Hopefully Feisty Fawn will work better with my motherboard when it comes out in April. :)

If ApexDC++ uses less resources to do it, and people have no other need for the dynamic address, then good. :)

Having the option to "update every X minutes" (or hours) would probably get some use by others as well... not sure where this option would go, though.

If possible this sounds very sensible... I doubt many users want to be notified as each segment completes. If there is a big enough demand for that then maybe that should be an option, but I can't imagine there would be much demand for it.

I suggest you try Ubuntu if you are new to Linux. May be worth just using install.exe (check Ubuntu wiki) to install it, rather than changing partitions etc.. ApexDC++ will not work natively/well under Linux. You will need to use WINE or possible run Windows within Linux (using either VMware or QUEMU etc..) [google to find out more about VMware, WINE etc.].

I'll have to install Ubuntu in April or whenever after the next main release, when it'll hopefully support my motherboard a bit better, and try this. Hopefully we'll have some features in too by then. :P

Topics merged/edited/deleted... I think balder has provided you with what info you might require to get Ubuntu (xubuntu) working. Have to say I prefer the xfce desktop enviroment myself. However, maybe you should try install.exe? Might be a bit easier for you.

Edit the PG file and remove that entry? Resolve the domain name to IP if it's in that form?

Good luck getting into medical school, do feel free to visit the forums every once-in-a-while if you have time. :D
