  1. Current Security on my PC

Running main account as User NOT Administrator - having to enter a password a few times when doing specific things is worth the extra protection layer

    UAC - screen dimming De-activated

Comodo DNS - using DNSJumper I can easily switch to openDNS - GoogleDNS or whatever I choose

    PrivateFirewall 7.0.24.10 - running

    Avast Anti-virus - running

    Malwarebites - running

    WinPatrol - running

Peerblock - running - preventative for torrents and such

    Sandboxie - running

    Spywareblaster - preventative

    Clamwin - spotchecking

    Emisoft Hijack Free - spotchecking

I have found a Layered defense from multiple companies has proved more effective as not one single company can catch everything... and yes my pc runs fine with all that lot installed lol

  2. Just a sidenote - I noticed that when you use a slash ("/") in the name of usercommand, you can make nested menus for user commands. Might be useful.

All previous versions used "\" and even help file says this ?????

  3. Avast - Anti Virus

    AVG - Anti Virus

    Sunbelt Kerio - Firewall

    Comodo - Firewall

    SpywareBlaster - Spyware

    SpywareGuard - Spyware

    SpybotSearchandDestroy - spyware

    Ad-Aware Personal - Spyware

    HiJackThis - Analysis

CCleaner - General Purpose Cleanup tool

Lots of these work on Vista too

All these are available for free and have kept me free of bugs for years in varying combinations. No need to buy this stuff or used hacked/cracked stuff when the FREE stuff works perfectly well

Currently 17 hubs and around 19,000 users hashing 200gb+

    hope this helps

  5. STL is a type of protocol used during DC. TBH, this points to a Port Fowarding problem to me.

Try changing yourself into passive and see if it rectifies the problem (post if you cant do this).

If so, we've hit the issue and I'll try best to can to fix it.

OK just remembered I took my router out of the equation so have now chosen direct connection. Lets see if that improves matters. Thanks for the info on STL

  6. No matter how you loose connection to the hub, you cannot ctrl+r or use window reconnect disconnected click the reconnect icon

The only way to re-establish the connection is to close the hub window and re-open it from favs.

    Hubs 0/6/17

3.65 TB share 4 slots open

    Windows Vista Ultimate

    Dual Core P4 3.3Ghz 2Gb Ram

  7. There is no simple solution... You cannot force people to do one thing or another...

Simply make it a condition of the Hub and get your Ops to enforce the Rules... Eventually they will comply or move on.

Its up to you to decide, is a tidy looking share, with zipped up content more important to you than a user count. If your hub is that good enough, people will comply.

  8. Hi, I got something in mind, I know this is very targeted to an OP-version of the client (if there will be one), but I'm gonna post it anyways. As you know different hubsofts use different hub commands. My idea would be: (a bit similar to the 'Hub IP / DNS' field) the possibility to sort user commands by hubsofts (the reason I said this if for OP-version, because this mostly involves raw command, not chat commands, and I am not talking about raw manager / raw profiles here ), so if someone is OP in hubs running different hubsofts, this could come in handy. And I guess YnHub, PtokaX and Verlihub recognition would be enough in most cases.

  9. Today we release ApexDC++ 1.0.0 Final and PeerWeb DC++ 1.0 Final. It's time to show how much we appreciate our users and release both stable releases earlier than we planned.

Remember to post feedback on both releases in the announcement topic and we will do our best to accommodate them. We haven't had time to update the changelog page, so please download the product and use it yourself. We have included a few easter eggs in the PeerWeb DC++ 1.0 release, including lots of innovative features. In the mean time spread the word about the two releases.
