  1. Indeed, but if people are getting confused we probably should lengthen it.
  2. Progressing with ApexDC++

    We're applying the finishing touches and then we should be able to release it this weekend.
  3. We tried to keep it tidy, since having all the description tags on it's [4M/400k][L:4kB/s] Maybe [Limit:4kB/s] would be sufficient?
  4. Does this fix these crashes? http://forums.apexdc.net/index.php?showtop...&#entry4328 http://forums.apexdc.net/index.php?showtopic=517 http://forums.apexdc.net/index.php?showtopic=488 I believe they are related.
  5. Question for all you fellow Op's out there

    As long as he doesn't know where it's hosted... change the hub address and notify current users.
  6. Turn off multisource?

    Turn off segment downloading. :blushing:
  7. tell us who you are

    Ah, I used to visit that hub. :blushing: Welcome.
  8. Promote ApexDC++

    For November? We've only just got into November..
  9. Show usernames and IPs in searchspy

    Yes, but that is spying on people and what they do. You only need a general idea as to what's most searched for on the hub, not what the username is. Users need their privacy.
  10. Clients to chat on DC hubs

    Hi seli, is this you from Shareaza? Welcome if so. It would be nice yes, but we're too busy with organising our 0.3.0 release right now. :P
  11. [Support] SUGESTION 01

    Other people may find this topic useful when searching. :D
  12. Released: ApexDC++ 0.2.2

    We proudly present you with a vital maintenace update for our ApexDC++ product line. 0.2.2 brings huge stability improvements, fixes, a couple of new features and a merge to the very respectable StrongDC++ 2.02. Our friend Big Muscle (author of StrongDC++) has fixed literally 20+ bugs in his own program, and so we felt it's important to bring you a new release based on this. You can find our changelog available to show you our recent fixes. The development team would like to take this opportunity to appreciate phaedrus' efforts by allowing us to add his excellent progress bars into ApexDC++ (optional of course). That's not our only changes however, so please check the changelog. ApexDC++ keeps breaking boundaries by ensuring we provide you with the best experience in terms of stability and customisation. Please keep spreading the word about our project - help digg this release - we appreciate it! Download: ApexDC++ 0.2.2 Extra: Translations (Help translate)
  13. Apex themes

    Will update all these onto the customise page today. Balder: you haven't given a download link for your theme.
  14. Help please, i can't download!

    It doesn't for me. Here is a direct link http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/apexdc/...up.exe?download
  15. New release?

    Like we've already mentioned... we don't want to open the cvs, people will take code from us before we've released our official versions (this is not the only reason, as stated above). We're not an OS project. We do not need to open the svn for developers to show us what they can do. Yes, which is why Crise is so bogged down in stuff I used to do, he hasn't got as much time to code. Which if the svn was open, you'd realise that there's nothing new for days, and you'd complain about that instead of this. We don't mind constructive criticism, but don't reply back asking to open the svn: we're not.
  16. /bandwidth

    I think this command would be nice. We had a web shortcuts manager but the person who did this hasn't been around for a while, and we've not received his code yet. ;)
  17. New release?

    Right, I've split the topic since we're not just talking about the linux program. Amp, we've speficically asked anyone with experience to step forward, show us what he can do and we'll work on him becoming part of the development team. ;)
  18. Download disconnects

    If you're patient it means you have a lots of cool stuff to use, rather than just a few. 0.3.0 is shaping up to be the largest and most significant release we've made.
  19. New release?

    Then you'll have very little to play with, since this program isn't worked on full time. Releasing an insufficient program in terms of features is not our objective. We want to provide users with major changes each public release, which is why it's taking so long (although, like I said above, we're practically ready).
  20. New release?

    Um, Vista doesnt have a cvs, or daily builds given to a large amount of users. Why have you decided to take over this linux discussion with a general discussion of development? Mods take our popularity, our users, which is a lot for a freeware/open source community. Anyway, we're not going to have a public svn, so don't ask. ;)
  21. New release?

    Er, you're trying to discuss a linux project that has no experienced coder for it. You can't expect frequent development builds (which we've decided to supply only to subscribers/supporters/testers). Currently there is little code for this linux program, and this is why we're asking for anyone with experience to step forward. StrongDC++ does not allow you to download and compile the latest cvs, since people use his source and release their own open source client on the latest features before him! Open source does not require a public cvs. Bug reports are looked into when they are submitted, and if a fix is available, we fix it. It's been only a month since our last release, and this is because we're very busy (I for one are now at university)... that doesnt mean our previous releases have been so far apart. Anyway, we're waiting until a stable StrongDC++ release is available before releasing 0.3.0.
  22. New release?

    And this doesn't slow down stable releases, it merely allows us to reduce the bugs in them. Previously in PeerWeb DC++ we didn't have a sufficient testing team, and therefore our 'stable' releases suffered. Regarding the linux project, if anyone has any programming experience in linux, contact one of our admins. :)
  23. It's called partial sharing... good for spreading files around the hub, and also a great anti-leech feature. You can disable it by disabling segmented downloading.
  24. Cant connect to hub

    The hub doesnt support ApexDC++ tags, so emulate. Go to favourite hubs, and properties of that hub... and click "emulate DC++".
  25. This has been fixed in the latest (private) alpha release. :)
