  1. Bad downl-g, good upl-g

Sounds like an ISP problem, contact them to see if they are having network difficulties. Also, you may need to run a speed test on your connection to check the current thoroughput on it.
  2. Bad downl-g, good upl-g

Have you got your ports properly set up and your forwarding on?
  3. user account control popping up when running 1.0.1

Considering UAC can be easily circumvented by malicious programs it provides no benefit whatsoever. All it does is bug you about genuine programs doing genuine things.
  4. [1.0.0][Bug] Disappearing Queue Items

Glad to see i'm not imagining things!
  5. Bad downl-g, good upl-g

Your sources are slow!! Whereas it will be uploading as fast as users can receive. Thats the way DC works, so enjoy :)
  6. windows server 2008 compatibility

Well Serv08 will run in a similar environment to Windows 2000. So it may cause a few problems, but if it's anything drastic I would be surprised.
  7. Auto Updater

The Steam project is NOT open source. As a result, you may find Valve will not tell you. uTorrent on the other hand....
  8. It can't be done, the DC platform (both NMDC and ADC (I think)) fail to recognise redirects within folders.
  9. Thats a DC++ bug and has already been reported to DCPP, no need to worry about it, i'm sure they'll fix it.
  10. This is more likely a UAC problem, disable UAC and it will save your hashed data. But it will still be slow at hashing and do that in TaskMan unfortunately :(
  11. Hey All, This is annoying the hell outta me. I dont know if i'm doing something wrong or whether it's a bug. Anyways, I have 5 HDD's all with shared content on each. Well, if i'm hashing my files and go to close Apex WHILE it's hashing from a local HDD (one on the machine i'm running apex from) it closes first time every time. However, if it's hashing a drive from a network drive the icon disappears from systray np but when you try to load Apex up again next time round (which can be HOURS later) I get the 'apex is already running, start another instance?' message. Sure enough, if you go into Task Manager it is still there. I am running vista if it matters. But I dont believe this is vista's fault (this time) however I do run XP downstairs so if you feel it would help i'll happily do a little test downstairs to see if I can mimic the behaviour. I will also try it on StrgDC if you feel it would help? Anyone else sharing on network experience similar problems? Cheers Will.
  12. This is not a bug, it's because the file you have download in is Megabit, whereas the reading is Megabyte. Common windows problem, doesn't exist in Vista, it is clear about it's readings.
  13. [1.0.0][Bug] Disappearing Queue Items

I have PMed you my queue mate.
  14. user account control popping up when running 1.0.1

Turn UAC off altogether, it's a terrible feature. Also, I run vista with Admin priv's. It works fine.
  15. what's this awful bug

Is 1.0.0 not stable? It's the one I was querying....
  16. Direct connection and dynamic ip

Use the Auto-Update IP on startup option.

  18. no shares shown

This was a bug! Should be fixed in 101.
  19. [Bug][1.0.0] Connection settings - Fixed

So should we download it again?
  20. windows server 2008 compatibility

Well Server 08 is built on Vista SP1 and I have had it running on SP1, so it should work fine.
  21. Released: ApexDC++ 1.0.1

Also experienced this, once I manually fixed it, it's all ok again. Stable for me at present.
  22. Released: ApexDC++ 1.0.1

    Why thanks you! Me Like!
  23. Ghost remover

    Define a ghost user?
  24. Auto Updater

I don't see that happening Zlo, uTorrent uses the same thing and it works fine.
  25. Multiple file lists

Yes they are using a fake client, we dont want to be providing them with that kind of client. Also, RAR, LL hubs is a fair assumption. But why not simply not visit them? But I guess you are entitled to visit them, so perhaps that is the point.
