  1. So maybe tomorrow the new ApexDC Lee??? :):):)

    (K)Beertje

No i don't think it's quite ready yet, but assuming that Lee can get some icons, maybe we can tease you guys with some screenshots soon :)

  2. Corrections, you must start a new download for the file first, then shutdown the client, then copy the old temp files over to the new temp files and check that queue.xml is fine and then restart client :) should work, never tried in practise though...

  3. Hi

I have a number of dctmp files backed up from a failed hard drive. The files were downloaded with my then installation of PWDC++ 0.41, but when the hard drive crashed, obviously that installation disappeared.

I still have these temp files - is there any way I can make my new PWDC 0.41 installation accept and resume download of these files, or must I just trash them (please say no, some of them are rare, at over 70% and took weeks to just get to that stage:o)?

Thank you in advance and sorry if this question has been asked before - I couldnt find it when I browsed the support forum.

    Windows XP sp2.

It's possible but complicated, as you need to find the files you were downloading before (exact same file, same tth etc.) start downloading them again and then mess around with the newly generated queue.xml and then replace the new temp files with the old ones from your backup...

could someone who has time write a step-by-step guide perhaps? because atm. i don't have the time :)

  4. What I would like to see is logfiles split into seperate days instead of just one huge logfile (in much the same way as mIRC does). I know it's possible (there was at one time a DC++ client that I know could do it...but I don't remember which one now)

Edit: tested this and it's possible at present, so just edit your log file name settings :)

  5. Why not just provide an ability to define such commands? F. ex., if I want some search engine, I would do the following:

    1. Open Settings

    2. Open "Chat commands" or whatever name we decide.

    3. Add the desired command (maybe just like a favourite hub is added).

The short way may be also: /acom /wiki for the above request (not sure whether two / entries are allowed though :) )

I'll take a look in both of the requests, and zlobomir two /commands are not allowed but in your case /wiki is not /command it's just a parameter for /acom :)

  6. Can we try the ApexDC++ Beta? If, from where can we download it :) if yet possible :)

You can't, and there is no beta only alpha, as in feature incomplete and unstable, when there is beta it'll be feature complete but may still be bit unstable and also betas will most likely be public :)

  7. -=[ ApexDC++ 0.1.0.15 ]=-

    -=[ Uptime: 10 hours 52 min 12 sec ][ Cpu time: 0:02:06 ]=-

    -=[ Memory usage (peak): 6,98 MB (16,67 MB) ]=-

-=[ Virtual memory usage (peak): 14,93 MB (22,11 MB) ]=-

    -=[ Downloaded: 2,66 MB ][ Uploaded: 148,76 MB ]=-

    -=[ Total download: 183,74 MB ][ Total upload: 427,91 MB ]=-

    -=[ System Uptime: 1 day 4 hours 46 min ]=-

    -=[ CPU Clock: 3000,170410 MHz ]=-

Connected to: 7 hubs (where chat traffic in most is pretty much constant), no uploads nor downloads atm. (statistics from my WIP version)

and memory/cpu usage is completely a result of: number of hubs connected, amount of traffic between hub and client, number of downloads and uploads and the size of download queue

  8. Very much related - I now have search with Phantom DC++, but not with Apex DC++ 0.0.0.3. Settings are as similar as possible, my router port forwards a whole interval up to port 22480 incl. Phantom DC++ works on WAN:22478, Apex DC++ doesn't on WAN: 22479 TCP and 22480 UDP. It also does not work on TCP and UDP both 22480. When I click on "Get IP address" in Apex, it finds my LAN IP (the NIC address of the PC the program is installed), instead of my WAN.

My router config is a little strange though:

    1. It is set to DHCP.

    2. On my "permanently used" PCs I have configured static IPs (10.10.10.1/2 ), with DNS being the router (10.10.10.254). So I am still able to have network on other PCs with just plugging in the cable, while my machines don't change their IPs all the time.

those ports are definetly too high lover them to four (4) numbers f.ex. 1234 or 1212 etc.

  9. Hey guys!

I heard on a hub that Apex dc++ is out. Is it true?

yes, and no. it's out to beta testers donators and devs only :P

(and the build that is out is just an experimental build done over to old pwdc core)
