Format text and show images

If its possible can you make so that we can format the text in color and size and other and post images as in poster etc...

Well you can format the text for you as you wish but for your eyes only, the style of the text wont show up in other clients. This way you won´t bother others with your big letters... This thing you are asking can be very bad for DC and I think will never happen. Posting images can be to advertise and spam.. porno pics and god knows what.. would crash servers... just forget about it hehe

It would be nice to see some of this added (not too sure about images, would use an external host for these like imageshack). However, if these features were implemented they would only work among other clients with these features, effectively meaning only other ApexDC++ users would see it. Also, for all other users, it would probably just display stuff which would make text unreadable or whatever. I believe DC:Pro had this to some extent, and when people used it, it frustrated non-DC:Pro users. ;)

Heh, just reasons for all to switch to Apex DC. As for posting "bad images", do you know that you can use letters to type nasty words? I suggest to disable the chat. ;)

Also, could have an option to disable images showing up (would probably save some RAM, too). I think the idea was more to allow custom emoticons, like you can in MSN Messenger, though.

Well, we have emos already, I do not think different emo size is god idea, neither larger fonts. But font color... geez, just imagine, I have a grey-black backgrnd and obviously I will need some override option for users set to black font. So not too useful at all?

Emoticons currently only show up for the person receiving the message, and they only see the one which their emoticon packs sets it as. "" can look quite different across different emoticon packs. Also, you could have animated images (GIFs presumably). Even if support for animated images was about to emoticons as they are, that would be quite cool.

Yes, but DC is just not IRC. Each client can be customized, so I can't imagine this done without annoying all...

We already have very basic form of this request (which tbh. I only added to stop people asking me to add lua so they could do it...)
