    Where would that SPI be? I checked on the router settings in the 192.xx web adress and didn't find it.

    But it is possble you don't have such!

    P. S. On the last Apex start I again messed with program settings to make it download in active mode. Now have put 2 different nos. for TCP and UPD. Wonder wnen and how this will end up, if ends at all.

    I have the feeling that these settings are highly latent. Took effect on my setup after 3 minutes or even more. Gosh, it is awful, I haven't noticed until the router change... And Strong DC 2.1 still can't connect in active, true I haven't "tortured" SDC so much.

    Is it hard to implement such in Fav Hubs properties, near "protected prefixes" field? Thing is that not all hubs have prefixes for SU/OP/VIP/Registered. Or at least "protect keyed users". I know this is more an OP feature, but I know that Crise is in a good mood sometimes, esp. when not busy. ;-)

    Well you CAN prove that MS products are NOT the best, it has been done many times. My Linux box never crashs and hasn't done for years, the MS one constantly messes itself up (best I ever got from a windows machines for 2 months uptime, yet I have had 8 months a linux box, and it only shut down because a PSU failed).

    So yes, as much as your argument may be valid, in the context that MS software is flawless, but it's far from it, also, they are one of the richest co's in the world and simply choose to make things uncompatible to make even more money....

    Yes Satan, agreed basically. The point is that MS always can say in court "it happens bacause..." . And to wash their hands, they sure can produce a good-for nothing OS and say: "See, this one is compatible, as you wanted. Go enjoy the crashes."

    It's like with a swindler, who takes some money with the promise to return them 2 x in 2 months. Well, at the end money are gone, and he says in court: "Well, I was planning to start such and such business... BUT...". At least happened here in Bulgaria and many people lost their savings ("Lifechoice" pyramid of Michael Kapustin and others). It is probably our (defective) court system, like with many things.

    It doesn't work that way, for example, an car engine has parts that fit OTHER cars, an MS product fits ONLY an MS product.

    Even if this happens it should be because the car engines are produced by a powerful multinational companies, like MS.

    F. ex. how can you judge me for my car parts not fitting in your car model, if I am stating that my car is 10 times better because of using such parts, and you can't prove it is not better? :D

    MS are in court at mo over making their OS so it's incompatible with others.

    Well this is crazy too. If I am producing cars, what's my bad that the parts for these do not fit for horse carts or vice-versa?

    Well, I'm running the latest (I think) alpha/beta/whatever build and so far no crashes :crying:

    How do you get an illegal copy of a free application anyway? :P

    It is really smth people do not neeed to know or advertize , since such client mods are spoiling the DC world (cheating, etc).

    And yes, *.360 is the latest build.

    Is it possible to make slot-ratio related with your Nominal bandwith setting ?

    For example: if you set Nominal bandwith on 0.005 MBits/s , slot ratio should automaticaly be 0.5

    if you set it on 0.01 MBits/s , slot ratio should automaticaly be 1

    Sure, if we could rely on people to set this correctly or even know about it. But I do not like the idea of hard-locking slots no. to bw.

    Edit: And client should be able to increase/decrease slots automatically during "Alternate transfer limit".

    Oh yeah, you just can't imagine how easy Bulgarian language is too. I knew it even when I was like 2-3 years old. :D And while we are a small beautiful place with fallen economics and about 8 000 000 population, out of which not much native Bulgarians (maybe even more than 8 000 000 live abroad now :crying: ), I pretend Russian to be very close to Bulgarian, and having in mind the resources and potential of the great "Mother Russia", this is already smth. But really, the point is that every man and respectively nation, regardless of its size (which not always means quality) has the right to have its own place under the sun, including having a translated Apex DC++. Unfortunately it is up to them to cooperate for this, as many people have already done.

    P. S. Regarding abusing, you should really try harder. I pretend to have some sense of humor too, do not worry. :P Sorry if this went too offtopic.

    Try to play with the router's SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) feature, if such available. And give it a time and restart to take effect. I was forced to disable it on my Netgear WGR614v7, even to connect to my LAN hub (PC next room). Maybe it is something that the developers should check, since I don't think a router feature like this should be disabled.

    I don't like how a beginner can enter 20 hubs and have 20 upload slots open without his knowledge. :)

    I do not like even more how beginnerS with nice connections enter 20+ hubs and have 2 upload slots open, again without their knowledge, and at some point get a kick or even ban, not to mention all the possible "blessings", which they get from more experienced users. Imagine a non-English speaking newbie, he will just think "What the .... (use imagination here)" and uninstall, or be a permanent pain in the... hub. :)

    @Satan: I will try btw. And we should be able to go even below 0.5, hubs decide how is enough.

    Idea: Do it more clever : H\S ratio = X, but never more than Y slots.

    Well, thank you, I've always knew that people don't give a sh*t about others, f. ex. Bulgarians in this case. :) Respectively it is unlikely some non-Dutch to translate Apex in Dutch, it's just a wicked human nature maybe. :) If you need and can do it, please go ahead and publish it here, it will be used and appreciated. :)

    I am still hoping to be able to do a new BG translation some day. It is how I think it actually happens, client gets tranlated when he gets enogh popularity in a given country (at the point when so many users use it, that some of them happens to be dedicated enough to translate).

    P. S. Just looked at TGO hub, there are 2 NL, 4 IS and 10 BG users there. :D

    About my previous screenshots, the ports 1414 are already in use according to the Wikipedia UDP/TCP portlists.

    Do not use port/s, already occupied by other apps. Not gonna work.

    StrongDC++ already decrese its priority on minimize and that's all what can be done. And about Idle processes? There's nothing below Idle priority (and priority 0 is reserved for pages zeroizing in memory management)

    So the explanation was really bad. I meant not the priority of Idle Process, but its value as a meter for Apex/Strong/DC resource usage.
