Possible, I'm on XP... :D

well, the title tells all. It started with the attached values. For over an hour it haven't changed, so IMHO there were no tasks running.I need to kill the process, and when start app again, it's the same.

What is the result when you use "Check Settings" in Settings/Connection settings? Is there any chance some port not to be forwarded/used by another app?
-
We may just change the places of Close and Minimize.

It could be done like some notification which the client will send to the hub. Then, when some other client recognizes that it doesn't have such pack, it may propose downloading it (like Win updates). But it seems too complex.
-
Yes, but it requires some uploaders in order to have downloaders. The "law" was applied only in three cases mentioned above, and it was suspected to be nasty trick between ISPs. All the three users were clients of HomeLAN and uploaded in a competition tracker, Arena.bg. And some traitor must have given the tracker's logs to the cops. Even if Arena was forced to do that, they could give ~15-30 min or even more for preliminary warning to the users. :)

...And the risk increases if the number of sharers decreases, so...

Yep, it's really nice. Congrats :)

Sorry to dissappoint you. Shift doesn't make a difference for Run As... either. At least on my PC. :D
-
Hmm, IMHO it is not such a bad thing to have... It can be optional, it (probably) does not require more than 5 lines of code... But as the majority wish.

It may be just that Apex is too young, and it is possible 2+ hub softs to disconnect it, if the OPs haven't defined a specific rule. And it may seem ramdom just because there is a different time to the check of each user. P. S. I reserve the right to be wrong! :D
-
Then just finish the old stuff with PWDC++.
-
I believe you need Shift only on Win 98. If he managed to run Apex on this antique, he will definitely not ask about associations. :D
-
1. !He may not have 100 bucks free! 2. He could just install some Linux and a Linux client (actually why not, new Apex DC++ for Linux is near). 3. This is not a real solution. But as M$ stopped Win 98 support a long time ago, there is no point. Even if today you manage to run Apex, tomorrow there will be smth else.
-
It's OK here, are you with the latest 0.2.2?
-
How well do you know the hub? Maybe the hub soft doesn't like Apex? Or haven't a rule to let it in?
-
I doubt that it opens more exploits. And it is 99% sure it is not enough. But to have at least 1% chance, I am 99% this must be installed.
-
Then try with the GUI: RMB on the *.dctmp, Open With..., Choose program..., (select the one you wish), check on "Always use this program for opening this type of file", OK
-
But but but what is his exact version of Apex? Maybe in the preview Crise hasn't run in so deep details...
-
And you should know that there are users that just click "Skip" on these wizards, so they would need another way to the same content. P. S. Indeed, you got me - I'm not the most frequent reader of the to-dos. :(
-
The "last" service pack for Win 98SE is a little bit of unoficial, so make sure you get it. Here it is: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4131.html

Yes, but it's in human nature to do things in which the respective man is totally uncapable. (f. ex. american foreign policy hypocrisy) About ISPs: It looks weird, but it's logical. This is a very good (the only) way to make a user require a faster (and more expensive) net access. :(
-
Yes, if it's not in the initiation of the connection... There was a similar ussue before between clients, does smo remember better?
-
What will you say about a separate page, like "Tools and Help"? There we can place the button, as well as the links to the guides

Maybe some default filter in hubsoft. Tried DC++ emulation?
