Nope, came out fairly recently.

Nope, can definitely see why you'd think that though.

It certainly is, American Gangster is definitely worth a watch too. Both are better than this film really. :)

It's been a little over three months since I last post here, and since then I've bought a new monitor. After looking at this thread I open up photoshop and did some editing to my original design to make it suitable for 1680x1050 resolution (which I now use). Changed quite a lot, but it still looks fairly similar.

This is a good movie I saw quite recently.

+1 Yeah, definitely a good idea. At least take out the shutdown button by default. I'd probably prefer the Open Filelist.. button left in, but if people don't use it much then it's fair to leave out by default. :(

I'm not too sure that RSS feeds would apply to DC too well. It's way too hard of a feature to add in unless there's ways for people to make decent use for it. DC isn't especially good for new releases, for RSS feeds are really useful with USENET and torrents. A website which lists new releases and provides RSS feeds would be needed, and ApexDC++ would need lots of new code and changes to the interface. I can't see it being worth the time and effort to be honest. Having said that, if we did it (and setup a site for the RSS feeds with the same staff as ApexDC++ has) then it would be genuine innovation for the DC network if well implemented. Anything less than a good implementation would be worthless and a good implementation would take too long (a bad implementation would still take a while).

Moved to Support. ApexDC++ supports partial sharing, meaning you can start uploading parts of a file you're downloading before it finishes. So you may be taking a slot whilest downloading from someone, but you can be providing some too. This setting is not optional, you can not disable it. It means that people who don't share anything and just want to leech from the network will at least be uploading something. There is no intension to make it optional, it's a deliberate feature. :(

At the very right hand side of the application, below the emoticons button, at the right hand edge of the hub (not main) status/kick bar there is a tickbox. Tick that box and you should see the userlist, the share size for the hub should also update, and probably display in the place you expect it to. The only way to see how much hashing is done that I know of is via the "Indexing progress" dialog. To access it go to View --> Indexing Progress. It's the same one which pops-up when you add files. Not too sure for your last question. Would have thought it would be in the client, and if I'm correct the following Setting controls it, but I don't have time to check. Go to File --> Settings, then Settings --> Advanced --> Experts only --> Auto refresh time.

Use MSN for it then? I don't think the protocol is going to work with this. Nearest you'd get would be that Apex would add the file to your share automatically then give a magnet link or whatever in PM. Doesn't seem like that's much of a need for this, if you can share the file publically, put it in your share, if not then do it externally to DC or put it in a password protected RAR.

Haha, I guess we could, but would make the number pretty worthless.

One million by the end of the year seems very possible.

What does the message say in English?

As it's already there it's probably worth leaving there, unless it uses resources even when not visible. Seems that some people use it, and if it's hidden it's not really clustering up the toolbar menus.

It'll just be an internal hub address I would have thought. Plenty of universities seem to have internal DC hubs, plenty of people seem to use ApexDC for those hubs. Still quite suprising that a hub would only except ApexDC++ though. :crying:

Indeed, tell them you have lots and lots of massive VOB files or something.

I would appreciate a guide to compiling on Vista. Probably worth creating a new thread for it.
-
Doesn't the media toolbar already allow you to do that? Ctrl+4 to show that. Ability to manipulate the playlist just seems like bloat, and would probably be less convenient t o do in Apex than in your media player.

The hub that is added to your favorites by default when you install ApexDC++ is TGO, the official support hub. It's there for new users to get help etc. It's often full now as so many people are trying to connect. We should probably work on a way to try and make this less of a problem. (With the hub owner.) Nothing's wrong though, no need to feel worried. :crying:
