Yeah, it would definatly get used, extra memory use? I'd be willing to accept that if it was included in an OP version probably. Although OPs don't n ormally get spammed by users, but lets not get into that, lol.

Yep, that's what we need. DC++ (and it's respective mods) is suprisingly undocumented, especially for first time users. Kevo's guide which was mentioned is very good, but we should really concentrate on this in my opinion. If we had a well con structed manual or wiki or whatever (or both) then it would definatly give us something to offer over the competition. Also, by slanting it far towards ApexDC++ if it was the main manual it would encourage users to choose ApexDC++ over others. Maybe that's a little nasty though lol, but I think it'd be a great thing to offer. Anyway, it'll all get gradually asked on the forums eventually anyway so hopefully it'll be as easy as doing a quick search on the forums someday. However, until then people still have to ask questuons, and it's also nicer to have a well presented and put together manual than searching and reading through forum threads.

Dammit, stop remi nding me of the lack of regex searches, and further the availblity of it in ADC. Dammit , want regex searches so much.

Wow, I've never nheard of that issue though, very weird. Although the way I use the search wouldn't make that a problem for me. Un fortunatly I doubt there's much that can done to fix it if it's a bug. :)

I don't see how ADC would be of use? Although I've not actually looked at that link. Anyway if there's any other stuff you need info on, please do say. I think Apex should really try to focus on some sort of manual, give something extremely useful to offer above other clients for one. Unfortunatly it's ver hard for us "experienced" users to realise things that arn't obvious to a new user. Trying to view the program from a new persons perspective is suprisingly hard, for me at least.

I assume this is definatly mwith all hubs and that other users on the same hubs can search? Also, I assume that when you can't search and others can you are both either passive and one active. If it's just one or two hubs and you're passive they may have disabled it or something. Lots of people seem to miss that even whe nt eh hubt ells them so i have to confirm. Anyway, can you download from others? If not it's most likely a connection problem. If not, is there any files which would actually returns for the searches you are making? If the answer is yes to the two previous questions then i don't know, try it in another c lient to find out if it is a problem with PWDC.

I know logi under another name? :blushing: Well, I know the operator who emptied out 15hubs due to his client.

Because everything pails in comparison to the wonder that will be ApexDC++? :blushing: The vast majority of features that Crise intends to implement into the client are ones suggested by the users, Bearshare is most likely a less community based client so the users don't always get what they want I guess. I guess I may be a bit biased though. ;)

Well, I'm glad to hear it sorted itself out, as Lee said, if it hadn't started to verify you'd have needed to redownload it. (I can't see why it wouldn't verify it though. :blushing:)

I'd try it... most of the hubs I'm in I OP anyway, so a share isn't exactly required. I want a copy too. :blushing: EDIT: After a quick Google, PHPDC showed up but that does not have chat facilities. http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpdcstats/

Haha, a lot of unknown stuff there Spyke, if you just said N/A or whatever it'd be fine... but I'm rather curious. :blushing:

I don't mind if you're all anti-American or whatever, you can have any opinion you like if you justify it (as you have).
-
Have a web interface in ApexDC++ where you can remotely chat in hubs? That way you'll already be on all your hubs, and will still be sharing. The favorites and quick connect etc. could also be there. Hehe, maybe this might not be every easy? To be quite honest I'd say you're better of just using the VNC via the web through a Java client in a b rowser and chatting on DC that way.

Ah well, there's almsot more bittorrent sites to take it's place if it goes. With private trackers, if they go down you care for two reasons: you may have uplaoded loads there, and we like to think private trackers are secure.

:D We don't want to hear that from. :P

I guess that's what happens when it's hosted on your personal computer/make-shift webserver? If he's getting low traffic then it should be fine. :)

Nice new banner. Fits the colour scheme much better then the IPB default one at least.
-
Yeah, might as well leave this string open. :)

*Finally actually downloads and installs it* I'll give it a go. :)
-
Heh cool, but how much did it set you back? :)

Yeah, exactly. Hublist isn't too bad really.
