Multi-hub raw it's called if I remember (never used it). No, not all OP clients have it.

Glad to help. but that wasn't my idea, I just remember how... haven't tested it on SDC++ 2.00 (witch ApexDC++ will be based at probably)

My method. 1) Start new downloads of the same (TTH) files. 2) Exit. Swap new dctmp's with old ones. 3) Additionally edit Queue.xml find FreeBlocks=" " and VerifiedParts=" " and delete everything betwen quotation marks except space. 4) Run. This works for me for repairing broken (corupted) files so it should also for incomplete downloads...

A lot of people (those who are not betatesters) are already frustrated waiting for rc11 so please don't post such things as it will only make them to put more pressure (or "When..?" posts) on BM and I don't think it'll help much. Besides it's quite a pesimistic way of seeing things...

Although BCDC++ itself is missing such things as LUA script editor window (found in most mods with LUA) its still main client working on LUA implementation... Also Zion++ introduced something like SecuredExecutor extension so only allowed persons can run scripts (I always hacked it though). ;)

From what I remember BM is a student, so probably he'll be finishing his work on RC11 after end of school semester (in my case it's the last week of june). Let's hope it will be much faster after he got some free time. And ApexDC++ will come "1 to 2 months till first public beta " hmmm ... somewhere around beginning - ending of August that is? When it comes to reality - It'll be good if it comes at least in the first part of June Lot's of time anyway... (...well my first calculations for tester contest were very optimistic...)

the main problem is that it must be supported in client who receive the search not just your client. The good point is that there was a point in ADC specification about regex searches, so maybe future will bring it <_<

LUA is not there since creator of SDC++ witch all is based on (BM) didn't want to add such functions to his client. Probably it's part of the "because StrongDC++ is p2p software and not programming tool..." motto As for regex it's a CPU killer (I can agree somehow, it's there to be used wisely) and not good for n00bs (unfortunately it's a majority of users. Not a problem since regexp will only go for OP versions of ApexDC++ probably... Just wondering if ApexDC++ dev team has enough "power" to finish task in reasonable amount of time... maybe it would be good to assign one person specially for creating of OPs version (if there is such volunteer available).

don't hide it!... it's one of the good points for allowing SDC++ clients in all hubs I'm in. It would be perfectly good client if there was a way for hub to tell client how many max segments are allowed (yeah - something like secured executor from Zion++).

The most useful futures are: * improved ADL search (forbidden, regexp, priorities, checks both filename and TTH*, its really essential stuff) - and don't forget about to add some ADL specific variables to UCs! * ability to use active searches - to be used as supplement to ADL (check Zion++ TiCoEd, iDC++ has some basic already) * LUA (many things can be done with scripts, no need to mount into core) And... yes IMHO that's even more then all for must have futures in client. Of course very useful but not essential * some better notify system then "throwing it all into mainchat". Maybe specific window with cheating logs, similar to system log window, but with per hub filtering... * client detections, fakeshare detections, etc. - always welcomed, those will never be perfect or even near it, it should match most older cheating clients, but newer and active developed will always adapt, and fix detection holes) * any working, dependable anti-cheat future is welcomed * a way to LUA from context menu or search window from LUA... ect * more context menu improvements (like Zion++ and other), multi hub raws, some possibility to customize click_on_IP context menu, (it's rather not a part of specification, but maybe using UC? it's nothing wrong, you can always remove it later if specification changes.) * there is always more You can think of once You get to that point (*) haven't seen anywhere yet, shame for dcdm (& clones) devs :/

EDIT : "or at least static size" Sorry for language slip = I also prefer dynamic resize to static one.

It is useful - I mean auto-resizable message box (or at least static size) because it prevents stupid situations when You paste something more then you actually expected. This happens in lots of situations - when playing with copy-paste or scrolling typed message history... about character counter - kind of useful but not that much.

I like the idea... similar requests alrady has been posted on SDC++ forum, but I don't think they will be done in SDC++ RC11 (God, when??) so it would be good to see them in ApexDC++ at least.

I wouldn't mind but foo_winamp_spam (foobar2000 forum topic) does the job nicely, even with newest v0.9.1 (note that it's also configurable in Foo's preferences) Make winamp/MPC (& Foobar) players states (playing/paused/stopped) translatable. If You really have some time to spare consider some more from my topic from SDC++ forum. :(

Next day I joined... over 2.5 month is much for me I never been to close to PeerWeb DC project (if you count it also), but it didn't look intresting to me (until I knew about PFS enchancments - "Super seeding" I think it was called)

I'm not a donator (it's not about cash but I prefer to "feel" something before paying) but my question is - are there any betas already available out there?

I know the problem... but I think it's really a must to open two different clients - and not only because of the share ammount but for the better slot distribution, better drop sources & segment downloading optimisation, ect. If you're sharing that much You probably care also about it, why else to wait 1/3 of the day or more for hash (8-10h for me). I don't know if there is any client now that provides better slot distribution except maybe LDC++ witch allows giving slots for prefixed nicks (and my mod. Zion++ - for IPrange or prefix) IMHO : It would really make a point to sit on single client on all (local and Inet hubs) after some P.F.S. improvements

It's quite a funny idea... I even made a patch for SDC++ rc10 one day witch was showing users sex (if supported by other client) witch was sent by users status (like away, fireball, server is). Don't ask me to find the patch, I lost it somewhere between hdd formats :)

I would add Zion++ client's (especially Zionn++ blue). Although project's dead now, I hope someone will continue idea of Zion++ Blue - that is taking some good SDC as a base and add OP feautures from iDC or DCDM (and alike) clients.

How about a possibility to set additional slots for files in certain directory, for example "shared\new" ?

I also "vote" for OP version... I would like to see at least 2 feautures from Zion++ blue - one is advanced ADL search (also useful for non-ops, but not too much) - LUA plugin my qeastion is - can You really handle all this requests ? B)

I don't think it's going to be that easy (site is back online, maybe it was down because of high traffic, it's down from time to time). Every next RC rel. it takes longer and longer, and no more CVS access... well I hope it's worth all the waiting. What should one do to become ApexDC++ betatester? (except guess_ApexDC++_release_date_contest)
