  1. 3. most hubs allow only certian ammount of away message characters.. this would be useless, would only take space in the dialog box.

    4. what would you want to do with this?

    5. how would you parse them? /w1 /w2 /w3 /w4 ?? if you ask me, if you 'must' have a per hub now playing command 1 is enough, otherwise its just a matter of apearing cooler then the other clients, i can just imagine every user trying out his four /w commands. total chaos and kids play.

    6. absolutely not, why would you want to edit your tag, again to appear cooler then everyone else? are you like 12 y.o. or something? use stealthdc for that, its banned on almost all hubs anyway.

  2. I think your missing the point.

We dont want either sick files, or good files with sick names, both are sick, and we dont want them. PERIOD!

as for your picture of the file with the sick name, you really really shouldnt have postede that. one might suggest you posses such a file. Think on this.

  3. Not really TYRRAM, 'Defender' on vista does nothing to it. Aside from UAC, which can be turned off, there is no security bugs or incompatibilities.

Some Anti-Virus software that have advanced heuristics and riskware detection tools can cause trouble to many applications not just DC.

  4. I would just like to say that the new skin is going well and apologise for messing up the old one, it looks preety bad now. That's not the case with the new one though, i believe it will be to all of your liking. More or less :)

Consider the image changes sort of a sneak peak for the new skin and please bear with me for just a while longer. :)

  5. Everytime I restart Vista, which I've recently upgraded too. Apex forces me to reset all my settings, which it seems are not saving upon exit and I have to rehash my entire share (sorta annoying with a 300 gig share).

    Any ideas?

doesent happen to me, im using binary.

    did you use an installer?

  6. Dobrodošli na stranice DC klienta ApexDC++

Ovdje zatražite pomoć isključivo na Hrvatskom jeziku.

  7. Right now - no

PS It's not really my req. but it would be nice to extend current "Hide Share mod" in Apex to do 2 things:

    - hide share but respond to searches (sound silly but has point)

    - send FLs to favorite and OPs

this does not make any sence. if i want to hide share "i freakin want to hide share" that means i dont want lurkers, members, vips, ops, even owners to see wtf i share in other hubs - if i am permited to do so in a hub anyway. it measn i dont want my files to be seen via search, via high-level clearance. or whatever!

if an OP decides to let me hide share he wont ask, he wont even want to know what i share in other hubs. why would he couse i wont share it anyway in that hub?

i just dont see the point your leaning too. please explain??

  8. True. What im saying, is this needs to be done with precision. All settings need to be saved as customized by the user, where user left blank should be saved as blank, where its full, it better be full to the letter, everything as it is. And i know this wont be as easy as is sounds.

  9. Why could you not enable the auto scroll feature only if you scrolled to the bottom of the page? So if you are reading something above auto scroll is automatically disabled (like in a lot of other applications)...

that would be usefull, i sometimes read chat and forgot to disable outoscroll, then i get so pissed when it scrolls to the bottom, takes me time to scroll to where i left at.. grrr..

  10. ok, due to the fact that this whole issue is kinda driving me nuts, i reinstalled apex on a totally differnet partition - so still under the same vista, butinstead of standard c:\pro~files i pointed to g:\program files (an empty partition)

it installed correctly, and indeed after first run and after adding a few hubs to favs, i closed apex and checked the directory - there it was, the favorites.xml in all its glory.

??? what does that mean? in my opinion it means that this is DEFINITELY related to user account policy, or rather, to some vista security issues i dont grasp just as yet.

all i know is that the standard program files dir in vista (that is, on C: where vista itself is installed) always requires admin privileges whatever changes u want to make in there (eg delete, move, copy etc)

so i guess when apex tries to overwrite the (invisible lol) fav.xml there, vista wouldnt let it? then why apex remembers info? and y i cannot see the f***g file?

i see it on g: program files, but not on C: program files - im curios seeker do u have it on C:? aaargh, not that it b***y matters anylonger argh

ohh for crying out loud, stop posting such long posts on useless crap, its not a vista neither apex bug...

  11. Seeker might have accidently placed it there.

no thats a new installation, didnt mess with anythiong, just added a new hub to favorites, opened the settings folder to see if favorites.xml is there, and thats it. no accidents :whistling:
