Well the fact that it works after you have patched SP2 would point to the ApDC being reliant on one of SP2's patchs.

How do you know that is causing the connection timeouts and the users are not genuinely timing out?

I find that is more likely to suggest that DC was accessing your HDD when it crashed.

Packs are not downloaded auto no. I had to reinstall all mine recently.

Em....for me (i think) just removing the arrow from beside the folder i checked for sharing stops apex doing anything with it....

I find DC is kinda heavy on the HDD, but only when it's hashing. But then again, it does hash quicker than most clients. Other than thats it's fine....

Surely you could just up your resolution? I mean, if you where to make the icon's adjustable per resolution, this would mean people on low res's would have very small buttons....

The one thing i've thought of here is the way the dl was started on a fat32 partition? You not just dl it all again on an NTFS drive?

It depends on what i'm downloading through. HTTP I can download at 5-600 all day. But P2P is throttled to 20Kb/s for a large portion of day (hence why i'm moving provider).

Technically, almost anyone can tho Noctis, I remember one user who could of gave me an upstream of 12Mb/s, but my connection didn't allow it. There's always someone faster :)

Good as that sounds, not everyone is always in front of their PC when they're downloading, and even if they did disconnect, DC would start another segment automatically.
