Surely you meant to say "weeks".
-
Confirmed, same here.
-
And that is why I ban these kind of leechers in my hub who have a hub ratio of 20 hubs and 1 open slot (that is all in all, not 1 per hub...).
-
Nooo, it was released almost 3 weeks ago, see my thread. It was just elevated to stable status.
-
... and still no updates to Strong and Apex, hehe...
-
Couldn't you leave that the way StrongDC handles it? You just enter a dyndns address and it doesn't get resolved (apex converts it to IP now). Instead leave it to the windows dns client and the router dyndsn updater (everyone has one these days) to update the IP when it changes. Much easier to configure active mode in apex, and leave everything else to the user to configure their router correctly and/or install a dyndns updater software on the PC.

The same thing just occurred in StrongDC 2.12, so I have to assume that the bug is inherited from there. I've noticed it after having the program open for approx. 7 hs.

I have a related problem: When Apex is open for a longer time, problems start to occur. They include right-click not working anymore, other programs not starting anymore, Mirc Options do not open and several other GUI/Explorer related problems up to entering a hub command in ptokax crashes Apex. This looks like there is a conflict or bleeding on the interface of Apex. My OS is Windows XP SP2 on AMD64 nforce4, 2GB RAM. Other running software include DSHub Version 279 DC-Hublink 1.22 ptokax 0.4.0.0b I have none of those problems with StrongDC 2.12. Thanks for looking into this!

Not sure what you are talking about but I and my users have problems with filelists with all ADC 1.0 clients. Lots of timeouts, sometimes they go through, mostly they don't download.
-
Works for me as well in my ADC hubs, no problems in chat.
-
The filelist transfer in TSL mode doesn't seem to work well, sometimes lists are loaded, sometimes not. I'm afraid I can't be more specific than that but it seems to be a problem of all the latest batch of software based on 0.704.

What r the best settings 2 fight ISP's Traffic Shapping?

There's a WIKI that lists bad providers with the kind of measures they are taking. The long and short of it is that those measures can only be countered by light to heavy encryption of the data stream. Does the dc++ protocoll support encryption, and if yes, could it be implemented in Strong/ApexDC? -
Apex 0.3.0 No joins/parts are shown in main chat, regardless if "Show joins" for that hub is ticked or not.
-
That was it then. Works now :-)

I'd love to see those two features (writing them down just in case they're not included yet). Check share for: - Max file size: Personally, I don't want people to share their huge vob files - Max FILELIST SIZE: I want to exclude people who have a 10MB filelist which is coming in at 5kb... and again, to be able to exclude OPs from these checks. Thank you!

Feature request for OPcoming OP client :P

And can it trigger a RAW response? Methinks not -
how to hide netlimiter from showing in hub connection column?
YouKnowWho replied to bembem's topic in Client Discussion
Use Cfosspeed www.cfos.de and you will not have lag when you surf while downloading, without limiting. -
I'd love to have the option to check users on join by userlevel, specifically, I'd like the option to exclude OPs and maybe VIPs from the check (protected users).
-
Does that include their filelists? When I activate that option, all filelists are downloaded and checked, even those of OPs.
-
Personally, I don't need this script for VIPs... I would already be happy if it didn't check OPs :-)
-
Hubs cannot do extended share-checks, only clients can.
-
How about doing checking with client side lua script?
-
I can never understand the discussions about speed limits. Use cfosspeed and you'll never have to worry about your upload affecting your download again, no need to use limiters.

Operators need to be able to see who is searching what to be able to identify material like child pornography. Enable it for OPs and Admins, please.
