Posted December 15, 2010 Yeah lee you seem to find good ways to mess up even the most basic things the only poll that actually is receiving any votes is the client poll..

Posted December 16, 2010 I wonder if any of the people voting because of this topic have actually been following the development of any other client. Actually, I wonder if they have even been following the development of Apex, aside from clicking the update button every once in a while. EiskaltDC++ has basically come up from nowhere this year, with new commits to the git repo almost daily. I haven't really seen that same evolution with Apex. I like Apex, and I like EiskaltDC++, both are excellent clients and I'm not saying one is better than the other. What I am saying is that this poll isn't a popularity contest, it isn't to do with which client is better, it's which client "has made the most progress and evolved most during the year" and I think people should do some research before blindly casting a vote out of loyalty. Posted December 16, 2010 Yeah, I agree with pR0Ps. Just try to name new big features that each client brought to ADC world in last year. I guess the list could be interesting ;)
Posted December 16, 2010 Yeah, I agree with pR0Ps. Just try to name new big features that each client brought to ADC world in last year. I guess the list could be interesting Even though I agree with you and pROPs it is only natural for us to push for ApexDC, like I said to Toast when he complained to me over IM: What has been done here is something each participating project has an equal chance to do. It's upto them however whether to do it or not. If you want to ensure recognition based on actual progress and features implemented then open vote where all projects have a slot automatically is not the best choice (what I am implying is that perhaps there should have been a nomination round, that is not necessarily a vote, or something like that). Posted December 16, 2010 I also wanted to pointed out that the poll is not correctly built. If we want to poll for client that brought the best progress in ADC, then we mustn't include clients that didn't bring nothing else the poll is worthless. For example, make some nominations before to show where the progress is and exclude clients without no big progress in ADC development. It could be compared to poll "Which actor of 2010 is the best?" with persons who didn't act in any 2010 movie.
