XP SP3 CRASHES

2 posts in this topic

I just installed Apex DC++ ver. 1.3.3 over an older version (not fresh install).

I started the program and started hashing files.

After a few minutes I got a BSOD from windows with the following parameters

Tipo evento: Errore

Origine evento: System Error

Categoria evento: (102)

ID evento: 1003

Data: 26/06/2010

Ora: 11.30.30

Utente: N/D

Computer: FABIO-B4D4735DB

Descrizione:

Codice errore 1000008e, parametro1 c0000005, parametro2 bf807bd3, parametro3 9977a208, parametro4 00000000.

Parameters 2 and 3 can change (parametro2 bf836196, parametro3 96c34b8c)

Microsoft explains that this is a device driver error, but I am pretty sure it is caused by Apex because I could reproduce it (started Apex a few times and every time got the same BSOD)

Thanks for looking into the matter

Disable fast hashing... that being said if that does not help and if Microsoft says it is a device driver error I find it unlikely to be caused by ApexDC alone.

Also this is just a quick reply I do not have time to hunt down the specifics about that bsod right now.
