Some /wmp command bug

6 posts in this topic

So i'm using wmp11 & when im press /wmp command, its print like for example, ApexDC Is playing: Meet Her At The Love Parade.mp3

But! Where is the artis ? My curent config for that is, %[title].mp3 in > %[percent] <

Yes i've tryied %[artist] %[title] , but same crap happens.

Or maybe it's not a bug, delete then.

Or some one help resolve that. :P !

Go to Start>My Computer and browse to the file.

Right click on the file and click rename. Rename it to the correct name. :P

Had same bug too. Solve this issue by copying tag Artist into tag Band in all of my mp3 files. By unknown reasons tag %[artist] gets tag Band from Windows Media Player 11 instead of tag Artist.

You need to rename to MP3 to include the artist.

No you don't we get the metadata from the files (or from windows media player, which get's it usually from the files, to be exact)

If "WM/AlbumArtist" returns band, then I have no power over that...

It already does it so that if "WM/AlbumArtist" returns empty "Author" is used as fallback (I chose the order according to msdn documentation) but that is all I can do :)
