help please

Hi all,

ive been trying to fix this problem on my own for quite some time but i just cant figure out what the problem is

im using:

winxp

windows firewall

time warner cable with a terayon modem

no router

I can connect to the hub in both active and passive. but i cant search and when i try to get a filelist, i just get a connection timeout every try. i have apexDC++ allowed under exceptions in the windows firewall. has anyone had a similar problem or have an idea as to how to solve it?

Try opening ports for ApexDC++ in Windows Firewall and use Firewall with UPnP (WinXP+ only) mode in Connection Settings (inside Settings), and make sure you enter the port numbers to the appropriate fields. It should work (don't forget to restart your client after you have made changes and enter your IP in the IP field).
