  1. Search Window - Selecting Hubs

    Nice idea, the best thing now is Space+Arrows. :P
  2. ApexDC++ OP

    afaik about OPing, in huge hubs, or in many hubs, extended and new functions matter, and OPs know which exactly - and it is not only that OPs need smth better - it is also the prestige in having good, full range of clients for users and OPs, for as many OSes as possible, like Zion (Amen, you see what I mean, no clients, except some private ones!). We are just on different sides, if there is about to be only one client, I want it OP, you want it user. It is OK and understandable. But, again afaik and pls correct me if needed, if no active options in the fake checker, no more resources consumed. Let's not make it a question for 1-2MB or less in installer/installed size. :P
  3. a couple of issues

    Imo limiter is a LEECHER feature, not ANTI-LEECHER feature, well, depends, what you limit, up or down. :(
  4. Status update

    Sorry, last one was not laggy on my side, traditional Bulgarian talk about who has worse net, just like the Englishmen are discussing the weather. On topic: Really glad to see you all again.
  5. ApexDC++ Windows User Guide

    IE gives me the above error, FF 2.0.0.2 tries, succeeds to launch Acrobat Reader, but then the browser frozes and I am forced to "End Process". Acrobat Reader closes normally, but w/o opening any document. But the counter counts this as a download... Here is what I found, unfortunately it is on Romanian: http://www.roportal.ro/discutii/ftopic17757.html
  6. [0.4.0]download disconnects on $adcget

    Erm, could you try and reproduce this scenario with a DC++/SDC++/ApexDC++ client on Windows at the opposite end? Just to ensure it is not Valknut's fault.
  7. ApexDC++ Windows User Guide

    Well, it is probably due to some hosting issues, please wait until we can have it sorted out (and posting once per problem is enough ).
  8. @balder - yeah, I meant more "started with", sorry if I have shown some disregard to almitey, I still remember the Credits box of PWDC, however not my exact join date, you remember we changed forums several times. @Crise - Yes, your English was a bit worse, but tidy enough. @all: Make love, not war! And do not make me spam more, too. Some of us sometimes forget about the Edit button, some like to use more words and try to explain more detailed, some are spamming (/me ) and others do not like this. But all we have a PM system at our disposal. Sidenote: Ups, you made me open a new page with this post... :)
  9. User Commands

    Maybe it worrks already, who knows? ; is a standart separator, and as ifmn has stated, you can save hub in favs many times, adding SpAcEs after the IP, so it must have some use in Usercommand addressing. :)
  10. Vista deleting settings

    Well, generally for new parts I've read that it is better for them to run and run, only a screen-saver or setting to turn off the monitor is reasonable. A HDD for example wears much more from spin ups than from constant rotation.
  11. Peace, please? btw Seeker, Crise started PWDC++ at 13-14 years, so easy... :)
  12. ApexDC++ OP

    I just wanna ask, what is wrong with OP features in user version? If smo wants to play nasty, he will get the OP version anyway. So I do not see any point in removing f. ex. the fake checker, it can be fairly useful in hubs, where regular users are granted the right to use +report, thus making OP's lives easier and eventually be promoted into OPs. At all, OP features are hub-side activated, there is even a topic for this somewhere around... :)
  13. Firefox problem running linux

    Blah, Linux is using TCP/IP protocol for internet, as well as Windows, and in terms of networking Linux is faaaar ahead, so if you support Linux at your end, your ISP is not to decide anything for your OS (basically). It is like Shell saying "We support all cars except Opel, because we do not like it". So I think that your ISP means "We will not be able to fix your PC, if Linux goes wrong", not that you will be unable to access Internet via them.
  14. Drop Down Menu In Users List

    erm... OK, another option for this... "save only if no new character entered for X seconds", of course skipping idle, or as a second choice, really using Enter. We would need two pages in settings for this feature. But imo this is the most intelligent way. :)
  15. Drop Down Menu In Users List

    I like the chosen example pattern. And if there are not too much fuss and check boxes for a single option, we can have both modes. Although naturally typing of an old entry should be considered as new.
  16. Vista deleting settings

    ...however, if you open Apex w/o any hubs and transfers active, to ensure a fast and safe exit, and do your settings, then IMMEDIATELY close the program and open it again, it should load the settings. And even if you have the issue again, it should return to this point... Please check and let us know if this helps...
  17. I guess it is not quite good idea to discuss how much exactly the box has chanced , so I'd just announce my HO in details. 1. Although being an OP, I still haven't bothered to learn these RAWs, but since I hope to do it one day, I do not wanna end short on fields. Fields are not bad, if smo needs he uses them, if not they just wait. 2. A very useful one, even if we add * and ; support, it would allow per hub check for forbidden files, and I have such need, I am opping a metal hub and we are kicking users with crappy music-like (chalga in BG). And I do not want it reported in TGO, since I am not to kick for it there, although if only Sidey or Tony knew Bulgarian... anyway. :blushing: Actually a button, opening a new sub-window for ADLSes per hub will be the ideal solution. 3. It really looks better, and if there are only a few hubs allowing pro-looking away msgs for their OPs, too bad. Btw I would love to have the script for this, please, at least until the feature is naturally implemented, if approved at all. :stuart: 4. Wouldn't unignore per hub suit you better? 5. Really a little childish, but Freebow agreed even on one field... Still, imagine a music hub with active chat, if the OPs do not mind, why Apex should limit user creativity? Even a multi-line winamp spam, isn't the max char limit for this? :crying: And for triggering, imo /w (default), /ww (custom 1) /www (custom 2) /wwww (custom 3) may be better. Although by happy coincidence 1234 is also right over w. Another request was for binding keys, it could solve this acc. to personal taste. 6. No. 7. What about sounds?
  18. Drop Down Menu In Users List

    Well, to define better then, the "remember last X (user choice) entries" + a field in settings for "fixed ones", which will be loaded at startup and not spending your time on reboot. :)
  19. PirateShare.net launched

    Great news! And although it is a little "misusing", just remember that you can split everything in 50MB files with any good archiver or file splitter. But do not go too far...
  20. Vista deleting settings

    Do not ask me for coding! And afaik Apex saves only on exit, but wait for a confirmation... I guess smth goes wrong when moving settings info from RAM to HDD.
  21. My opinion: All cool, and 4 Winamp tags will not be harder than two, so better 4. But TAG edit may get Apex banned from hubs...
  22. Drop Down Menu In Users List

    1. I mean space in GUI for longer nicks, sorry... But with drop-down it will be clearer for selection... But why not pressing, f. ex "c" for nicks, starting with "c", then use the arrows or add a second or third char (like it is already btw)? 2. Why not just add all and let user define how many entries "before the last" he wants.
  23. Apex Features Post 003 by Freebow

    OK, I think I have it... Most of the misnamed files afaik are notorious. So we are dealing with only a few TTH-es. What I guess we might do - adding a sub-option to ADLS: "...but use color X instead of color Y when reporting in MC, if file TTH matches one of the following: TTH1; TTH2; etc.". In this way, OPs will have some chance to show a little mercy, if TTH is matched. But if it is not matched, and after a short real check of the file, the user should be banned forever and for good.
  24. Arguement with OP

    I did not said anything different, just I would not like to stay in a hub where Apex is not welcome (however this was not the reason, it was just the fact that a tester is supposed to put the client on heavy load, also me trying to serve more people, and it was visible). Name it a happy coincidence. If by some bad luck this hub is THE ONLY PLACE on the internet for a given stuff, there is always another client waiting on my HDD. And in such a situation I will not quarrel or abuse an OP, Owner or anyone, just leave. And yeah, the whole stuff went too far...
  25. Vista deleting settings

    Yep, but I haven't tested how stable is the binding to any of the *.exes, and since some users (pls do not take it to heart, as a support member I must expect the worst ) just put the Apex folder on the Desktop and browse each time in it to start... all could happen. If you do not do it this way, another person could, and then say: "yeah, true, settings lost". And these are two issues...
