I'm sitting right now with one hub running on localhost, YnHub, all hub search limits are turned off, one ApexDC++ 1.1.0 and one StrongDC++ 2.13, both configured for active mode for local IP (the only two users in hub, both clients are at this moment only in this one single hub, both are operators). ApexDC++ shares over 400 GB of files, the searches are made from StrongDC++. The debug window is open in both clients to make sure that outgoing and incoming search requests are really sent, not a single miss is done, hub sends all requested information. There are really many search results that are not returned. For example a file (AVI, 700 MB big) that contains 5 words in its name, when I write first word, I get a result, when I write first 2 words, I get a result, when I write first 3 or 4 or 5 words, I don't get any results anymore (even after few tries and a good break). When I search for "drivers" as directory file type, I don't get any results, but the second client shares a directory called "Drivers" with a bunch of files in it. It also shares a directory with many subdirectories of music and files in those, searches are made both as audio files and any files, when I search the name of one singer, I don't get any results, when I search the name of another singer, I get all possible results, when I search for the name of the song, the second part after "-" character, I get the results, when I search for another song name (second part), I get the results too, and for third, and for fourth, and for fifth. The most interesting part is that all searches has been made atleast few times, and every time it returns same results or no results at all, this proves me that nothing has been missed, the searches are really made. This is completely I don't know how to say, it depends on something, number of keywords in search request, number of words in a shared file name, total length of search request, total length of a shared file name, the "-" character, the search file type etc. etc. etc. One question have I got.. Does search engine uses regular expression for its functionality?

Quck reply here, found a way how to reproduce the bug. I find my hub bot a good target (), it doesn't read any PM's, so I continuously fast-write some crap on the keyboard and press Enter, write some crap and Enter.. After some 25 lines the client freezes. Try this please.

There are few things that may cause this. 1. As I have a fast line that is capable of transferring as maximum at 12,5 MB/s, and I have pretty slow computer. To solve that I need to set download speed limit or reduce number of simultaneous downloads, maybe disable multisource feature. 2. As I have a pretty slow computer, hashing of files makes my CPU overloaded. To solve that I need to set hash speed limit. 3. As you have a huge queue, it is being updated in real time. To solve that there was a setting once, I'm either blind or it has been removed, no idea how to solve that anymore. Second thing isn't your case as I understood, check other two. Does anyone know how to solve number three? By handing me the glasses? :(

By my knowledge filter prevents the search results that doesn't fulfil the search conditions. Those conditions are specified by your search frame, free slots is the most common (not sure about other conditions such as min. / max. file size and file type. search results should be returned by requested values only, but maybe a doublecheck is made anyway). It's a way you visually see it, but physically when a search request is sent to a hub, by your client, results are returned in all possible ways, even without free slots for example, tho you have selected "Only users with free slots". So search engine filters away those results as you requested, and the number grows. Don't worry about it. But if you find the filtered number high, but don't find anything you're looking for, try to put less conditions, which will hopefully make those filtered results to appear.

Hi. I have a small request before you release 1.1 or if it will be 1.0.2. Can you please make same numbers detection to count up to 8 (eight) numbers instead of 6 (six)? I'm currently using ApexDC++ as OP client, and I think it really works, good work guys! But there is this little but.. Since I have chosen fake share detection, same numbers detection is doing its work aswell. This is defenetly not fake share. And I check users all the time, by getting their filelists, 3 of 4 users are with nice and real shares. I guess all this is because back in time share sizes were much smaller, it was almost impossible to make same numbered share size. But today shares are bigger and bigger, much easier to get small amount of same numbers. Thank you.

Completely agree with you. I would be glad if there was a way to turn off the same numbers detection. But as I said before, once you choose an action on "Fake share raw" (which I generally use to detect fake share by comparing presented MyINFO share size and real share size presented by share), the same numbers detection will start acting aswell.

Can I please get a confirmation from developers that this will be changed in the future? It is very important for me to know if I need to recompile ApexDC++ by myself or not. Thank you.

Hi. There seems to be one little problem with "Settings > Advanced > Fake detector > Clients" list. The action column is not visually updated (it is updated only physically, chosen action will appear when you re-open settings window) when you change the action by using right click. Tho it works when you press Change button and change it from there, the column is updated both visually and physically. I hope you understand what I mean. If not, please let me know. I will be glad if someone test it and confirm the bug, so this bug can be added to developers ToDo list. Thank you. I'm adding a screenshot to show you more exactly what I'm doing. Go to Settings > Advanced > Fake detector > Clients. Look at the action column of "test" item. Right click on "test" item, a dialog window pops up. Choose another action from available list. Press OK button, which should save and update new chosen action visually aswell. Look at the action column again, which is still same because the previous stage was incomplete. You can close settings window now, and re-open it again, the action column for "test" item will now show "Virus files". You can press Change button and choose an action from there instead, the column will be updated both visually and physically saved to XML file.

Who exactly is sending those kick messages? As I know, this decision is made by status of user who sends them. If such a message comes out of non-operator mouth, it will be shown in main chat as usual message. If it's being sent from an operator, the client will move it down to status bar.

When you (as operator) open a PM window of any user in your hub, and then right click on users tab, and then choose User commands undermenu, you can see a bunch of actions there. The first three actions, Get user response, Report user, and Check file list, are not working. Nothing happens when you click on them. I'm attaching an image where those menu items are marked with a red arrow. I will be glad if someone test it and confirm the bug, so this bug can be added to developers ToDo list. Thank you. Hi. There are 2 last bug reports of mine in 1.0.1 bug section (aswell as many others), which has now been locked. I wonder if those will be noticed and fixed in future? Since they haven't been approved and laid into developers ToDo list, but still exists in 1.1.0. What I want to say is that there is no longer a possibility to confirm those bugs. Do I have to re-write those reports in 1.1.0 section maybe? Thank you.

I completely disagree! There are many such leecher clients out in DC world, they simply block PM's for any access until you provide a password.. And when it's time for an operator to send a warning or a kick to that user, it comes to a question after some time (when user actually notices that he is banned).. "Why the f*ck did I get banned? I didn't get any PM that you sent me! You think I'm stupid?". I'm not thinking to make sure that you got the message or not, I send it to many users, you're not the only one, and I don't get paid for sending those warning PMs. So please, to hell with that feature request.

I think you misunderstood me a little. I mean like.. It would be nice if this fix was included in next version. But when next version comes out, it's completely not my thing to worry about. :P

Hi. It looks like ApexDC++ doesn't answer on any search requests from the hub. I have not noticed it until today when a person was searching for a song title I gave him. He should have found it in my share. I'm sure that I have 9 of 9 slots free, so there is no "Only users with free slots" issue. I'm sure that my connection settings are correct, I can search and download, upload by myself. (this has nothing to do with search results sent by client tho) I'm sure that a person who is trying to search has correct connection settings, he can search and find other stuff without problems. (I tested this using 2 clients aswell, ApexDC++ does'n respond to "existing" requests made by client 2) I'm sure the file is shared, it has been hashed and filelist refreshed. It exists when user looks in my manually downloaded filelist. I've also beed using CMD debug messages window for about half a hour and didn't see any $SR sent by client. (on 10 pretty active hubs) I take this as a bug. Please correct me and give more suggestions on other ways to prove that issue. Thank you.
