Alright, I'll wait in the hope that's it's better... and then mock up an image or two to show what I mean if I still think it'd be useful to implment. ;)
-
Heh, would just only use private hubs, no massive problem from a filesharing point of view. Not to say I would like the network I am a part of to no longer exist.
-
No comments from Lee or Crise, can one of you state your opinion and possibly of this being a feature which could be implemented?
-
Been 9 days and no comments, and I think the feature is useful. If it's not possible do state, or if you just have no intention of doing it please state that too. Also, if you don't understand I mean (you probably should), then I can explain it further.

It's not something I want personally, although I do believe there will be some reservations. Possibly from me included, but I won't go into that.
-
So arrange the files within the PWDC folder (I assume it's an XML file?) and then delete/prune the file down?
-
Hah, can't see I even thought abotu Nike or anything when i made it... guess it does remind me of that now though.

It would be easier, in my opinion, to just use an external program to do it for you. :)

How possible would it be to choose the size of tabs? Personally I would prefer a "Tab Switcher" ...much like the "Playlist Switcher" in foobar2000. This could be easily hidden (much like the user list) and could have configurable settings so you could use a smaller fnt if needed or whatever. For people who often have a lot of open tabs (OP often fo ) this feature could probably come in rather handy.

This isnt' really an important feature and personally I don't see much use to it... Probably not that easy to implement proper ideas on how this would work either.
-
Ah right, good. :)
-
Umm... it doesn't for me... Anyway, whether it is not, ensure it's in ApexDC++. :blushing:
-
Hmm... I can't say I've really noticed what you mentioned but if it's do-able and I'm reading correctly it does seem to be a worth-while feature.

Nah we don't currently have /c (not in the version I'm using anyhow? ) and it should be added in my opinion. Anyhow, this isn't the most inportant part of the thread, it's the functionality of this command that's important really. EDIT: I've just noticed that the "Clear chat" option is availble for PMs (and chatrooms I'd assume too), I forgot that so sorry. Anyhow, in my opinion this should be availble for main hubs too.
-
I can see your reasoning behind this however I think the only reason it was /clear in the first place was because it's an idea copied from IRC and it's /clear within the classic clients such as mIRC. The simple answer (which I should have added to my original request) is that you an use /c wherever you would use /clear. We have /r and /f and even /w etc., so why not /c. ~Greg

Umm... not that well clearly explained so I'll just do the simple thing and not read it totally and spend 5minutes trying to understand. Include I will base my reply on the first sentence of what you just said. If those ettings are only retrieved when you obtain someones filelist then I think it's perfectly acceptable to add in this option to display the flags but just have it so it's only displayed when you get the filelist just like these other columns. I strongly believe that you should not be able to simply click on a user and automatically retrieve this infomaration as it's jsut wasting bandwidth, if there's a specific user you want these details of you will probably be willing to download there filelist? ~Greg
-
What I am saying is, it may be required for you to (start a) download from someone before this info becomes availble. The easiest option would be to download there filelist... or start to download it to get this info. Anyway, this was an if, although I think it's probable a download from a user is needed I'm far from certain.
-
I believe the country of origin flag is only retrieved when you start a download from someone? If so putting it into the userlist could be a little less hassle.
-
Well I'll stick with my current theme I think. As for my avatar... lol. :)
-
That's nice. Can't wait to see the concepts.

When I said hard I meant impossible. It's possible that I could get higher speeds if my connection was better. As it is, I can't go over my max atm.
-
Considering BT and newsgroups max my connection it's kinda hards to beat, especially when not all the stuff on newsgroups is stuff hundreds of people have, same goes for a lot ofbittorrent sites. However, when getting popular files from large hubs I can max out also, most of the time I'm not even getting files which I can get multiple source for with DC anyway. :)
