  1. I'm just testing 1.5.0.1021 update. Other than losing my nick in favs, no problems so far. Just copy over the favouites.xml file from a backup, or other hub, and paste over.

For future reference, please keep all discussion regarding the member-only betas to the appropriate topic. That way it's all together and easier to maintain. :)

  2. hi well i am an op at the hub opened a test account, tried to download another apex users list and got kicked from hub, for 1 hour (normal kick is 20 min..

when i oped test account, it kicked user for 1 hour when i tried to get list. also some apex users are having problems staying connected to the hub.

no idea whats going on with that. the hub has been running for over 10 years, this is a new one

What happens when you enable emulation via the Favourites window for that particular hub?

  5. Good, good... but do you really have to change the forum skin so often? It takes some time to catch up with any new one... aren't the skins from previous IPB versions reusable?

This one had to be changed since IPS introduced a new look. It should be less bloat and easier on the eyes. The previous skins aren't reusable due to the amount of template changes, but I'll keep it like this for a while so you get used to it Mek. ;)

  6. The forums are now running on the new flagship version of IPB. With this new release you should see a brand new skin and further improvements to the Tracker system. We may introduce a custom skin in the near future, but our concentration is on the next 1.5 version right now.

We are currently working on merging to the recent DC++ revisions since we have fallen behind a little. Once we're at that stage, you should see some public testing before we release (to avoid any last minute hiccups).

  7. i am unable to open anybody's file list, though i can see other people downloading stuff from me. I am also unable to search anything. Please help me.

Have you tried using Passive mode under Settings > Connection settings?

    Moved to Support.

  8. why when a new client comes are we told everything is okay, then when a newer one comes out, we are told that the other client has a serious bug, it's funny how they all seem to have serious bugs. No other client does this.

I'm sorry, but I'm not convinced. there was one time when i didn't have to upgrade the client i was using, but now it's back to not allowing me to use the client i have.

Yes, recently there have been a few 1.4.x bug-riddled versions that we are not proud of. We have taken the feedback on board and will go through further testing before we announce any future builds to the public. If you're interested in this, please PM me and if you're convincing I will add you to our tester group. ;)

  9. Be that as i may , most of the hubs today are not exclusively ADC hubs.. This needs to be iniated as a client feature.

Then it would have to be DC++, because only then would all DC++ based clients use it with the same level of compatibility. However, they are not interested in working on an old protocol and are focusing on pushing ADC for hub owners to migrate. :)

  10. To point 5: Sorry, my english is too crappy. What you mean with that? A reason why I ask you for an implementation is, that in past I wanted to block some IPs of leechers in Win7-FW / Comodo-FW or PeerBlock but it doesn't work! Even now. That's silly. Can you or anyone else please tell me why that doesn't work and maybe help fixxing this problem? (btw: I'm using Win7 x64) --- Maybe the problem couldn't solved if I ban just the IP of the leeching user?

Previously we have had PeerGuardian built into the program and this caused issues for a lot of users with increased resource usage. We plan to offer a plugin so you can download and maintain a simple blacklist/whitelist in the program itself without affecting the majority of users.

I don't think there are many large public ADCS hubs right now.

  11. FYI: Regarding point A I discribed.... I do see ppl leaving now. But I have the feeling I don't get that msg always.

That is some great feedback TTB, I'm sure Phate will be grateful. :)
