Hi:
I've a problem with apexdc++, which i've never download or install...when the antivirus shows up the hwq.exe was the first time I see anything about apexdc++...so..is hwq.exe a file from this program?it was in C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Temp
thanks!!!
Run an anti-malware program immediately. You must have downloaded it.

Have you tried memtest?

Enter some random port numbers above 2000 or so. For example: 2001,2002,2003. Then forward each of these ports through your router.
At that stage, restart your client and test your connection.

Well, then the Slovak language file neds to be corrected

I've looked around and found some changelogs regarding adc development, but it all seems kinda alien to me right now.
Could someone fill me in with the basics regarding differences between the old nmdc protocol and this one...pretty please  ?
And one more q: is adc the standard now? or are there multiple devs trying to combat the mess from nmdc and complementary hubsofts?
Best place to find about ADC is probably http://www.adcportal.com/wiki/ .
However, we're going to promote it a little more once we've got some time.

Thank you very much, but where is the Finnish translation?
We don't have any Finnish translators, want to volunteer?
kowo: There is also no documentation in German or Polish.
-
You'll need to place all of those in the User/AppData hidden folder if you installed dcppboot.xml with the setup file.

We do not promote the use of our program for copyright infringement.
Closed.

oh when we see version 2?
No timeframe, end of summer the earliest.

Satan, Thank you for the straight-forward (no BS, no ego) response. Sorry to have posted on an already long-standing feature request. Also, sorry to hear that it isn't likely to be coded anytime soon.
It is something we're considering for 2.0 - different shares per hub. But we feel it could lead to users just sharing the minimum amount of share per hub instead of their full share.
-
There is no reason for private hubs not to upgrade. We have contact with a lot of them and they upgrade each time.
Updates are forced for users and network security. Simple as that... if you don't like it I suggest moving to a project that allows you to run outdated and potentially harmful software.
ApexDC++ will always automatically check for new updates to keep older versions out of DC.
-
Auto-update system "on" or don't close program when people have old version..
This is something we'll include in 2.0.

Forgive, I did not know about existence of the Russian version of a forum!
Moved. :)

Lee, im 100% that my ports are forwarded. 100%.
+ Just to add, even though i did not acknowledge your advice, i have read the user guides available, and ensured my ports are open. I really have done all i can.
What happened if you use passive mode?

Thank you very much for you answer !
I specified a port in "DHT/UDP" field that i natted (UDP) to my b0x... but the "DHT" field, on the bottom of the ApexDC++ window, stays empty ("DHT:-")... I checked many times all the network configuration (by the way, other NAT works...)...
Is there any option to check/enable ?
Thank you,
Sincerely,
XZed
Yep, it's in Advanced -> Publish files on DHT or something like that :)

Great work Thx.
Got just this little error after install.
This should be fixed now.
Thanks for the update guys, glad to see the project is still very much alive On an unrelated note, It seems that you post a notification that there is a new version before changing the version.php file or updating the release notes (as pointed out by baba.runner above), any particular reason for this? Just curious
Yeah, we update the site before we notify users in our program. Otherwise they will be sent to the site with 1.3.3 download. I forgot to add releasenotes redirect on release this time.
The project is definitely alive and we are working on big things for 2.0.
I will add you to the translators group so you can submit it officially.

The management team are pleased to announce a new update to ApexDC++. This update improves stability by fixing bugs and includes patches from DC++ and StrongDC++. There are a select few translations updated ready for 1.3.4.
Work on ApexDC++ for Mac and Linux continues internally. Let us know if you're interested in helping out (coding or testing) by contacting us on the forums.
If you would like to share some ideas for future versions, register and drop by our feature requests forum.

Lee, everything fails and im really not sure what the problem is. My friend just showed me him connecting at his house, and it connects immediately with no ports or anything!
Listen, if you're not going to follow any of my instructions I ain't going to help you.
Use the guide to forward ports for your router. If you don't allow ApexDC++ through your firewall/router, it won't connect.
-
Welcome back
Enable the DHT global network and that will found more sources for you. There's no need to connect to more than 100 public hubs...
-
This is a bug and has been fixed in 1.3.4. Surprised it's taken this long for somebody to post about it
-
Did you follow my link above? It tells you how to setup your router correctly.
Make sure Bitdefender isn't blocking ApexDC++ as well.
-
Hello, my apex is don't work, when i am upgrade he. I use internet with my laptop and router. Without router apex work correctly, but with router, it's don't work.
You need to forward portsto allow ApexDC++ through your router.
-
Here is the screenshot. What im showing you there is that after ive clicked on either ''Help/about'' or refresh hub lists, DCPLusPlus opens a connection immediately, but instead of any data movement in or out... the connection just sits there like a lemon.
That screenshot shows you are using DC++ not ApexDC++
In ApexDC++ there is a connection test setting that should show whether or not you have forwarded ports correctly.

anybody?
Welcome.
What's the full hublist address? Have you tried using a different one? There are some available here.
