I mistakingly chose "store settings per user account", how do i change it?
Lee replied to ugle43's topic in Support
Just delete the dcppboot.xml in your ApexDC++ directory folder. :) -
This should be fixed in next version...

We are delighted to announce that over the past week we managed to break the 6 million downloads mark and also see our project's 5th Anniversary. We began work on our PeerWeb DC++ project, otherwise known as PWDC++ in April 2005. This gave us experience in Direct Connect and we managed to establish a motivated team to eventually migrate to our ApexDC++ brand. By the time we registered our apexdc.net domain, we had a steady userbase following us over to the new project. You can find more information about our history here. Without the support from our users, this project would be nothing. Here's to another five years, 10 million downloads, and 2.0. B)

I know, it's flown by. You didn't register here till a year after we launched, you must have been hiding. :P

You're getting irratating CatK. You can't say be "careful" and hit us right back with a post like that... show some respect. Without Big Muscle, there would be no ApexDC++. Without Crise, there would be no ApexDC++. With no ApexDC++, you wouldn't be here. As stated previously, this feature will be readded with a little tweak. Be patient, everybody else is. I'm with this guy.

Search next time. ^_^

Looks like IPS, the company behind our forum software, have been hard at work on their next feature version 3.1. There's an absolute load of new stuff in it, and they have it running over at their company forums. I think their estimate release time is over the Summer. There's a new in-line notification system for new PMs, replies to your posts, link sharing, status updates, topic preview, etc. Although I'm not sure how much of those we'd use.

Thanks for volunteering, I'll get back to you if we require another guy. ^_^

[Solved] [1.3.0] Queue List gets expanded every time I open it
Lee replied to horus22's topic in Support
Settings > Appearance -> "Automatically expand folders in queue" -
It should rehash your enitre share. Give it sometime, and then restart.
-
This should be sorted in 1.3.1...

Send me a PM if you're still interested and I'll promote you. We're still looking for translators for the following languages: Brazilian PortugueseCzechChineseDutchHungarianIcelandicSerbian

We are pleased to announce our first maintenance release to 1.3. We have received your bug reports and implemented fixes according to those. The program now integrates with the new Windows 7 taskbar and we have merged with StrongDC++ 2.40. There's lots more, so check out the changelog. An important change to the installer allows the user to install the Settings directory to AppData per account. If you run multiple instances, we recommend you uncheck this box: A special thanks to the new translators, providing ApexDC++ in your language (more to come). Download: ApexDC++ 1.3.1 | Plugins | Donate (thank you)

Run apexdc.exe in compatibility mode for the time being and it will work correctly. This will be changed in next version. :stuart:
-
It has disappeared because that was the cause of our /refresh twice bug. Maybe we could re-introduce it, but it would need further testing.
-
Yeah, looks like a permissions error with the folder you're trying to write to.
-
Crise has provided us with a new Lua plugin version for 1.2.0 Final. How it install Simply extract the files to ApexDC++ installation folder. Enjoy. ;)

If you read the entire topic, you'd be saying the only alternative way is to use dyndns.
-
Have you updated the IP in connection settings, and ran the connection test?
-
So we give the users an option, and we still get complaints? I don't get it. To disable this new Windows 7 behaviour, run ApexDC++ in compatibility by right clicking on the exe file and hitting properties. Closed (its not a bug). Use topic Crise linked too.

It was actually Ophite who pointed out that it packs everything with better compression. We saved a good 1MB on our binaries. Supporting Open Source and all that. I'll ask the guy in charge. Less font sizing ;)
-
Still trying to get one up on each other. Would it be possible for you to send me the up-to-date version so we can do some internal tests?
-
If you're happy with en_dator taking over, PM me and I'll switch you guys round. Xcell: You have been promoted. There's already a Spanish translator so make sure you keep each other updated. ;)
-
Right, I've updated the list again. Start translating. ^_^

Here's the guide: Let us know how you get on. ^_^
