Selecting download for existing directory doesn't add user to list
Satan replied to Kole's topic in Support
What was proposed Zlo was match directory as well as match queue within the file list.....so I dont see how it would avoid searching.... -
TBH, I would be more inclined to believe ports are not being forwarded correctly than to say that your router is 'being naughty'. A lot of people seem to find port forwarding confusing, god knows why, considering it's simple as.

What benefit would that provide? -
This is the way segmented downloading works. If you want this to not happen. Turn off segmented downloading.

The only reliable way, Apex does, but it dont account for everything like this does.
-
Too easily abused, so it wont happen.

I am in many ABC hubs with NP.
-
Unlikely I guess I should remember XP without SP1, it was a buggy POS too. I guess in this day and age I just expect perfection first time out.
-
Uhm..yes, it's already there....just add hub to favorites then select Emulate DC++ in this hub from favs.
-
This has already been reported. Try deleting your HashIndex and HashData files and rehashing.
-
Vista bug, does it for me too, but NEVER in XP.
-
Lets hope so, so far I see more people with problems than people actually having it running smoothly. I've had my fair share of probs too. I just cant wait for SP1 and hopefully it fixes all these niggles.

Ahh MACXP, I remember those days :)
-
Yeh I thought so too, but I felt i'd report it anyway. :)

Hi Guys, When you logon to the forum you find the forums with new posts highlighted. Fine! BUT, if you have moved a topic (i.e. Vonage from General Discussion) new replies to this thread highlight general discussion as well. Which is not really a prob, but when you go into the GD and out again it does not remove the new posts icon. Anyone else experience this? Cheers, Will

LOL!!! Ok, I will say nothing to defend it then. Anyways, to the topic at hand. I have tried this Aztek and it always opens in the same Apex for me.... Are you sure that it is opening the dchub:// from the same directory as you have apex installed? Only thing I can think of, that apex.exe is present on your pc twice.
-
Hehe, well I managed to speed up my network somewhat to 2.5Mb/s simply by moving the PC to get a better signal. It's now running at 36Mbps and for WLAN i'm happy enough with that, i'll live with it anyways.

Firstly you need to ensure you set up ports for Apex. One of UDP One for TCP (2 if you wanna use TLS - not necessary) Next, you import this into Apex under connection settings. Select manual with port forwarding. Also enter your IP into the WAN/External IP box.

I know what your getting at yes. However, it's up to crise to implement :)

We 'used' to have this in PWDC (we used AVIPreview) bit people complained about probs with this and being forced to use such a program. So we removed it. However, it would be nice to have an option for it. Such as: 1. Use AVIPreview 2. No Thanks, i'll pick my own program to use.

We're not complaining! We stating opinion. Which last I heard we're allowed to do. Also, we're not trying to impune on your work in any way, we're simply saying it as I see it. I'll never apologise for stating an opinion. It's mine and i'll have it if I want to. So Toast, try not to get so upset over the whole thing and chilll......

Download the FAQ - the section you need is 'setting up active mode'.

No, you can use Apex as a user client just fine! Also, Apex is NOT an op client on the grounds it has user features. I mean, that is like saying OP client with user features = user client.

What sort of throughput you get Aztek when your hashing from a network drive? I can only manage 800Kb/s which seems very slow considering the 'weakest link' PC is running at 36Mbps. Also, I have found a work-around for this problem. If I disconnect from the internet obviously apex is no longer able to hash from the downstairs PC, I can quit then and it closes np.
