I always stick to clients that are not modded in anyway, such as sDC and aDC, but what features did SpeedMod provide? Having had no experience with it, I am unsure if there is anything that I find controversal or not.
-
Technically that would work, but if the user connects with another CID they will not show up in the fav-list.
-
You can turn it down (to 0 if you like) in advanced settings, however, most hubs will kick you for this....
-
DCPlusPlus.xml can be found in the settings folder of Apex DC. If the FTP is on your network simply add it as such \\FTP\MyStuff This need to go into the directories section at the bottom of the file.
-
If the FTP does not appear in your My Computer Layout display in Settings>Share, add it manually using DCPP.xml.

Post your exception report?

Try using B5 and see if the crash is repeated?
-
flopp, your crash is not the same. NinjaX, this bug is erradicated in B5, use it instead.
-
You can't do this, not yet anyway. CID is completely random for each user rather than following a fixed code. E.G. if someone is in 9 hubs he/she will have 9 CID's. I think....

BM: Can I ask why this is? Why are finished files still sharing as partial if not shared?
-
It will only work if your download speed exceeds the amount defined in whole speed exceeds. For example, it wont disconnect a source if you are using few segments or you dont have a good speed to begin with.

The best connection settings for ADSl with (routher/gateway )

Yup, and questions can be directed to that thread too, Lee/Crise: Please lock. -
You cant use B4, use 0.4.0 instead. Or turn off vista's stupid UAC function and use B5 instead.
-
So which is it? You connection cannot be 5 different things at once.
-
Crise will say for sure, but I think it's just saved in the DCPlusPlus.xml file.
-
It will do so, after a set period, the whole idea of the force attempt command is to speed up the process and give the user his own control over it.
-
How many hubs are you connected to? What speed is your connection?
-
It is meant to happen, any user that is in a hub that is not in their favorites will show as DC++, the client automatically emulates in any 'unknown' hubs. I.e. hubs that it did not connect to itself with a specific instruction for no emulation.
-
This happens because the fast users have finished their segments. Turn off seg download's if you want to get same speed whole way through.
-
Yes, but that deletes your download queue, quite frankly, I don't want to lose mine. It's easier for me to use SDC 2.11, i'll start with apex again when the new build is released.
-
Chances are P2P is disabled on the network, so I dont think you'll get it working.

If correctly implemented, i like the idea.
