  1. New path at Logs Settings "MainChat\%[hubURL].log" always changes after ApexDC++ restart to "%[hubURL].log" and logfile is create in root logs directory, although string "<LogFileMainChat type="string">MainChat\%[hubURL].log</LogFileMainChat>" in DCPlusPlus.xml file don't changes.

did you install over an older DC client install?

  2. Unable to open TCP port. File transfers will not work correctly until you change settings or turn off any application that might be using the TCP port.

    I got this error recently.

I was able to connect of course to the server, but could not search.

I had never gotten this error before, and searches had worked before.

I run mIRC, uTorrent, and AIM. All of which worked earlier.

that TCP port is in use, change settings or close (the other) application using the port :)

  3. but i see no mods answer.... :)

No matter how you put it, this could be considered as harmful feature, and this is why i see it not happening...

and if you open 8-10 hubs you should be able to find a fair ammount of files in them...

  4. Can't it be made less awkward, I mean to terminate faster without closing connections? (Sorry, shot in the dark...)

maybe, but i don't think just suddenly dropping connections is good idea (i also haven't taken much of a look at the "exit code" since pwdc)

For example, you may quickly make an backup copy right after "close" command was received. And after that close it as it should be.

And on start up do some checking. Or, at least, make the download queue backup every hour and place them into separate folder. And clean it every 2 days, for example.

I'll see how it's done atm. and try to come up with better solution, if i can...

  5. Fully support this request!

Today my download queue was wiped and I have to readd all files. But then I'm readding them, the start to download from the beggining, which is bad, cause I was downloading some files for a week or more(.

Old Strong 1.0RC10 was able to resume such downloads.

Please, make this feature as soon as possible.

if your queue was wiped this is how you restore the downloads: http://forums.apexdc.net/index.php?showtopic=279

(you need to have old dctmp's handy)

  6. Seems like it happens if program was terminated on its closure. For example if I close Apex and immediatelly click on Windows - Shut Down.

Or if I try to start another copy of the app while current one wasn't closed yet.

I need to look into task manager every time I'm closing Apex, which is annoying too(.

apexdc.exe remains in memory as long as it takes for it to close all connections... (assuming that i remembered that correctly :))

  7. Hi, apologies for my retardness but I get the error:

    Compiling resources...

    Deleting old pdb file...

The system cannot find the file specified.

Project : error PRJ0019: A tool returned an error code from "Deleting old pdb file..."

Build log was saved at "file://C:\Documents and Settings\xxx\My Documents\Files\Programs\Apex Compile\ApexDC++_0.2.1_src\apexdc\vc7\Release\StrongDC\BuildLog.htm"

    StrongDC - 1 error(s), 0 warning(s)

    ========== Rebuild All: 7 succeeded, 1 failed, 0 skipped ==========

Ive followed the guide to the letter, only part I could have slipped on was:

Note: IF YOU HAVE SP2 SDK INSTALLED REMOVE IT FROM VS 2005 Include Files

(This was the thing that failed my compilation numerous of times)

If this is the cause of my problem, could you be slightly more specific on how to do this?

    Cheers!

just create directory named compiled in your src dir and you are good to go...

  8. This thing is REALLY annoying. It was in Strong, now it is in Apex. Sometimes then I close the client, download queue became wiped. And If I haven't found this fast, backup copy (.bak) of the queue is also wiped.

    Please, do something!

the .bak file doesn't work well as it's overwritten on every launch (as far as i can remember) so when you find out your queue got wiped the .bak file has also already been overwritten...

i am not 100% sure if that's how it works, for current versions of SDC (and thus apexdc), but on earlier versions of SDC that was how it would have worked...

about your actual problem, i cannot say much since it could be a lot of things going wrong...

  9. you're right, there are other progs too, i used to use BWMeter for such things. however, it's more convenient to limit a user based on his nick, so that it still limits him if he disconnects / reconnects and his IP changes, isn't it?

not in all cases, as if other user uses same nick with the one you want to limit... and i'd see it being more acceptable, if it'd be done the way presented in the pic above...

  10. 3. It has to do with an incompatibility to the new SDC++. Of course a convertor can be made, but the team Has too much work ATM.

i'll be commenting to only this as converter can't be made, and the incompatibility is with new versions of DC++ too...

  11. Any info on the inaccuracy of the speed indicators crise?

Well i'd like to say i'll take a look but i can't since i have been saying that too much lately and there is no way i have time to take look on absolutely everything (not to even all those i did promise to look into, unfortunetly)
