read the mini Faq, that can be found in client discussion :D
-
there just isn't help menu and new user finds out about help if he reads DC++ faq (might be mention about it in readme too, haven't checked, and readme should open at 1st startup)

Restart ApexDC++ automatically after crash
Crise replied to AddictedToChaos's topic in Feature Requests
why to allow auto shutdown when dl's are complete, you downloaded a file so give some back too and when it crashes there is such option alredy, it just requires user to tick a box and click ok :) -
come on /help is almost a standard in DC mods in theory every DC++ mods has that command, so people should know about it, if not then i'll just add a topic about it to guides section :D
-
then user uses /help and reads about it (i'm gonna make /help a lot more extensive this time)
-
not needed really, if user wants stats he kan use /stats serves the same purpose....
-
i planned on keeping the per session upload and download stats and overall upload and download stats in about box and just remove the uptime...
-
it's alredy in a chat command (/stats and /ut, in pwdc as well)
-
"total download time" being what exactly... if he wants a stored over all uptime in about box, i'd say it's possible.... (though i was going to remove the uptime from about box completly....)
-
I think BM was trying to say that as kad has nothing to do with hubs, the code that is ccurrently on revconnect really cannot be made to work hub specificly, as DC and kad are after all two totally different network protocols which work in two totally different ways... (that's how i understood it anyway)
-
don't get me wrong not wanting to be rude, but as long as i am in here and DC's implentation of kad is like it is now kademlia will never end up in ApexDC++ if someone seeks some kind of reason, my answer is private hubs...
-
as sidetrack stated above DC cannot die as long as the development of hubsofts and client programs will be in progress, only possible way to kill dc would be to prevent running the client from end-users computer, and as far as i'm aware only one that can do this completly is our friend micro$hit, by preventing the execution of uncerifricated software on their windows os (ofcourse cracks for this would be out pretty soon), but as this is unlikely to happen, i'd say DC cannot die in long long time
-
what tweaks do you mean? as far as i'm aware emulation in pwdc was never modified (well to be exact it was modified once but later the changes were undone)
-
removed, must have been bit dizzy when originally wrote this
-
we aren't creating it neither is anyone else
-
in dcplusplus.xml up/down logs are in /logs/ directory if you have enabled them
-
first of all we are not the experts, people like BM, PPK and armethduck are the experts, and let's not forget the others either (i could continue the list a lot further) and the unicode isn't a problem and neither are most of the other changes, i'll take look into this but i ain't promissing anything
-
by outdated he means that it (.PhantomDC++) is based on 0.306 version of DC++ (i think) and most current release version is 0.687... so the code is really outdated
-
well could you do so then...
-
please state specific date in march...
-
well that's not the biggest problem though, as even if i could use some code from it i can't as finding the latest source is a pain in the ass...
-
actually grogs it's not that hard to beat, just find some user with [LYSE]-prefix and you should be getting pretty dam good speeds (when you combine that with segmented downloading from other sources you should easily get speeds near to BT or newsgroups)
-
maybe an ability to make some kind of link to directory or then an ability to convert links in directory names clickable... edit: currently it's possible to do links like: dchub://hub-addy.no-ip.net/SomeUser
-
numbers 2,5,6,7,8 are certainly no, and 9 is not likely, oh and i don't understand request 4
-
i know and that was the plan all along
