  1. Well, i agree with the 0 share blocking . . .. in theory anyway.

it's denny access to my share only and all )

    Сами дураки!!! )))))

Makes me think he means just block them from downloading, not actually kick / ban them.

If it is kick / ban, that's the hubsoft's rules job. i.e. min share / min slots blah blah blah

  2. i wrote an install.bat file long time ago for 4.6.2. gather it just does the same thing. compiles and "installs" stlport for you.

Open a VS command prompt, goto the stlport\build\lib (if i remember correctly) and just run the commands mentioned in a Readme file.

    Something along these lines:

    configure.bat -c msvc9

    nmake /fmsvc.mak

    nmake /fmsvc.mak install

  3. ok, so each filelist is just an xml - i hope we all agree that comparing two XML's and picking out whats new is easy.

Surely it would be possible, to have an option on each user where-by you can right click ->"check for new files"

Something in the newer dc++'s might help with this. kind of.

Have a filelist open, and "subtract list" and point it at the old filelist, and it'll show you the new files.

But to have that automated for a hub full of people . . . .

  4. lame hubs don't allow multisource

lame hubs don't deserve me as a user

lame hubs don't have me as a user :)

I agree. Lame hubs live in the dark ages.

Nah, I give up. 0day hubs are lame. You are right...
No, that's not what he was saying. Hubs with stupid rules are lame.

  5. I understand that Dj, the problem is that it would make Apex a fake client because people would download it just to share the bare minimum in each hub.

I don't think that would be a problem. Most people would share what they can, same as always, a few would probably end up doing that. Personally i think the best reason for it is stupid rar hubs which don't allow non-rar share.

  6. PS: when a connection is encrypted, shouldn't it be displayed somehow in the download window? like a key next to the user name or something.

If this already happens, I wish to announce that I haven't noticed it anywhere...

Should already display in the status column. :D

If you don't see it, the transfers ain't encrypted.

  7. So, I kind of expect that the user's CID will not change as long as he doesn't change nick or IP.

    Is that conclusion wrong?

In NMDC the CID is created from Hub Addy and Username. IP has nothing to do with it.

So from logs or whatever you should be able to manually add them. :)

If the developers of Apex wanted to take this futher, little pointer in the right direction :crying:

CID ClientManager::makeCid(const string& aNick, const string& aHubUrl) const throw()

  8. yes i use stlport

    stlport svn used? ^^

You need the SVN version of STLPort to compile it on VS 2k8. Or wait until STLPort 5.1.6 or whatever version it gonna be called is released.

And one more question. Whether Be required to me Boost TR1 Libs for compilation ApexDC 1.0.0b5? Where I can download them?
Once you got STLPort sorted, i believe it stops asking for them Libs. But if you want them, google is your friend.

heh, regarding them global includes, shown in piccys, i offered BM a patch so you don't have to muck about with them, just have it in the project files. Offer welcome to apex team as well. :) (And just because it in project files, you don't have to put them there, you can still use global includes :P ).

Same offer included a patch for replacing MakeDefs project with the python script from dc++.

  10. It doesn't save the last used search settings ?

Guess that's one update from the dc++ core which didn't make it over then. :)

But i think as the request was, it would be nicer to choose which settings to start with, not just have the last ones you used. :blushing:

  11. The only netgear device I have heard of with any melting issue is the old Rangemax router
And mine, the DG834GT. because of the gui greatness, i recommended it to 2 friends. 1 of theirs melted as well. oops.
