occidental letter set

Hi,

I'm using DC++ on the Japanese version of Windows 7. I would like to be able to write occidental characters (like éàèçùêû..) in the chat. When I go to the settings (File -settings-colors and sounds-Buttun (Select text style)), I cannot change the value of the letter set drop down list. When I set it to "occidental" it automatically switches back to "japanese"

Any idea of the problem?

Now the characters set is not changed automatically but the special characters turn into Japanese characters even if the selected set is occidental...

Please help me.. I really need to find a solution to this problem.

Are your Regional settings in Windows Control Panel all set correctly? If yes, then you should be getting Japanese fonts and everything...

other than that, I don't know, just guessing...
