Can't connect to Hub running on LAN while on mobile internet.

5 posts in this topic

Hi! I am using apexdc++ (1.2.1) and I use two different connections simultaneously, LAN and mobile internet. But when I am connected to my mobile internet I cannot connect to any of the HUB running on my local network. I have tried setting my LAN ip to static and also activated the passive setting in apexdc++, but still I can't connect. Someone help me to resolve this problem please.

This might be a routing problem. But first of all in the connection settings in Apex, make sure your interface for all connections is set to 0.0.0.0 - that means "listen on all interfaces".

Thanks for replying!

Yeah my settings are 0.0.0.0 .... but my friends who are using a datacard and LAN at the same time, are able to connect to hubs running on our local network. I have tried their settings as well, but it is not helping. Is it that I am missing any important thing??

Which address do you use to connect to the hub? I doubt you will be able to connect from external network to some element in any local network via its local address.

I use the private address like 10.x.x.x ... When I am on datacard, does my LAN becomes external to my computer? Meaning can I not connect to it using internal links?? I am a newbie so please don't mind if my questions don't make sense.
