Posted August 12, 2008 Hi, I've used DC++ for a while, I'm not some whiz with it though. I'm still using .674 as I've had problems with any thing newer. My first problem is I can't get Apex to recognize that my TCP port is open, I normally use 411. But it IS open and works just fine with DC++ and Utorrent. No search results unless I'm passive. I have been able to get Apex working if I open DC++ first and then open Apex. What gives? Another quick question is does Apex support moving complete folders into your share, not complete files but waits intill the folder is complete? Thanks
Posted August 13, 2008 Are you using port triggering or port forwarding? It would seem the DC is triggering the port rather than forwarding it. Or....do you have UPnP on? If so, that could be why DC and uT work. You should check whether it is enabled or not.
Posted August 15, 2008 (edited) open one(or more if needed) port for EACH application that requires a port forwarded. and well 411 works but that's the default HUB ip, the clients usually use something over 1024  and the folder question, it is my belief that apex makes every file available AS it gets available... Posted August 29, 2008 im with Kjarni on that answer as ive tried diff setups with port forwarding diff apps need diff ports otherwise i think the first app opened takes the port and files ARE moved when each is complete its better to set up a dl folder AND a seperate share folder enable tcp and udp
