help with zone alarm

i really need help.

i just instaled apexdc and i am connecting to some private student hub. problem is when i connect i can't get any file list or search. the problem is in zone alarm. did anyone had similar problem and how to solve it? i use direct connection.

i allowed apexdc throug firewall, but that not help.

and please dont tell me to uninstall zone alarm because i can't

Zone Alarm is not DC-friendly. Even if you allow DC through it, downloads get corrupted. Just make a choice. My opinion is that a PC can be equally protected with the Comodo products ( www.comodo.com ) + AVG 8.0 Free and maybe + Spybot. Only my 2 cents...

Dont use ZA, there are a lot of other good products available that do just a good a job.

If the problem is ZoneAlarm, I suggest you ask for support from them. ZoneAlarm is known to be problematic with ApexDC++, and is a separate application, so we can't be of much help.
