Posted April 1, 2008 its been working fine before but today it wont let me connect to users ive tried changing the port number numerous times but this hasnt worked :[ ive also tried port fowarding thing... i only have one DNS address tho.. should i contact my isp? my zone alarm program is shut when i run aphexDC ++ please someone help me Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Posted April 1, 2008 Ok, your post is not completely clear. Are you using a DynDNS service? If so, how? Through router? Which service? Through DUC? Secondly, which ports are you using? Posted April 1, 2008 Hello, I'd recommend you not to use UPNP Service. It's a bit tricky and a security issue too in Windows. If you use Windows Firewall, turn UPNP off, manually forward 2 ports in your Router and add those in DC++ settings under firewall / manual portforwarding. If you use a dyndns service add your dyndns adress in settings under 'IP' otherwise tick 'autoupdate IP on startup' and untick 'Don't let Hub / UPNP override IP' greetz I have this problem too. Simply choose 2 ports between 0 and 65536 in your Router. Windows Firewall will ask u to allow DC++ ! Firewalls on routers are different with firewall softwares they usually filter ip's (Ip filtering - MAC Filtering - Parental control).
