Combining two folders in different drives in a single virtual volume

5 posts in this topic

Hi,

i have all my share distributed in two external usb drives (D: and F:). The content of each drive is shared as a corresponding folder, that is, D: is shared as "DC shares" and F: as "DC shares 2".

Is there a way to make my share look as if it came from a single "virtual" drive instead of having to share them as different folders in Apex? I did some research on the web and found out raid 0 arrays might accomplish what i need but my motherboard only supports ide raid arrays, not usb arrays.

Well, i hope you can help me with this subject as i'm not familiar with it.

Thanks,

roblov.

Ummm... There might be some software to simulate USB RAID?

Moved to Lounge.

There's no way to do it with with ApexDC, so it's outside the scope of the Support forum.

As for RAIDing two USB harddrives, Windows has the ability to create software RAIDs which may be worth Googling. I've never setup a software RAID so I can't really comment, might want to take a look at this guide to get started.

It can't be done, the DC platform (both NMDC and ADC (I think)) fail to recognise redirects within folders.
