Search in a different language

Hi,

I'm new to ApexDC++ and growing very fond of it, however, when I try to search in languages other then English I don't get any results.

I want to be able to search in Hebrew as well as in English, I've installed the language support files through the Regional Settings and also chose an appropriate font from the ApexDC++ settings but still no search results.

More so, this morning I've noticed I also see wierd characters in certain hubs' main chat room.

It's a Windows XP Professional OS and it used to work well with SababaDC which I do not enjoy using what so ever.

Any help would be much appreaciated.

Apex DC++ is based on Strong DC++, afaik Strong DC++ does not have language support problems. Please try same setup with Strong DC++ and let us know whether the problem is present there as well, thanks.

I don't think that search in Hebrew will work. Current protocol doesn't support unicode and it also depends on remote side if it has Hebrew support.

It's not working on StronDC++ as well. I've re-installed all the language files and support again yet to no avail.

I just ran a search on a popular word and got no search results, as usual, however, I see 98 filtered. What does it mean?

as long as i know ... searches are ongoing always (automatic searches for alternates in your download queue) ... and i think that those searches' results are filtered out, as not matching the criteria in that search window.

not sure for 100%, but should be sg like this.

Afaik Sababa is born in Israel, so it needs investigation on how Hebrew is supported in it. Unfortunately this is quite over my knowledge. BM, Crise?

I don't see any relation between both, it can be hacked client born in Israel. Since it obviously has smth useful, why not learn from hacked client?
