  1. Not positive it's the same bug... but I got this with my /winamp.

Restarted foobar and apex, it went away.

I'd look into it, but usually by the time I get time to look into the bugs, Crise has already taken care of them.

And it's definitely not the hardware, trust me. I've got a more than decent computer.

  2. Sorry, anyone who advocates using QOS does not know what they're talking about. ALL QOS does is send info to Microsoft - that's why it's called "Quality Of Service" - it USES UP bandwidth.

Bah, I don't know much about QOS, I'll admit. I don't set it on my computer, I set it on my router, and damn it's amazing. It lets me devote my full bandwidth to DC when I'm not doing anything else, but if I'm playing games, it allows those priority.

All that said, I have a nice, expensive router that most people don't have, and before I bought it, I used to netlimit, which for a while didn't work due to a bug in StrongDC. So, I used the built-in limiter, because I may be only running DC, so all my bandwidth is devoted to that... but I have 5 more computers in my house that can't even use the internet if my computer is uploading full speed on DC. It makes sense to leave it in... and leave it in the tag to be fair to other users.

  3. Name/Nick(s): almiteycow... (always.)

    Gender : Male

    Age: 20 (August 24th, 1985)

Country: Well, born in Germany, but pretty much a US military brat. Lived everywhere here. Currently near Los Angeles

Zodiac sign: Ox... astrologically, I'm a Virgo.

Hobbies : parties, computer junk, music... Basically, nerd with a social life. Weird huh?

on DC since: sometime after joining PeerWeb.org, I don't remember. Year or two ago.

Worst thing that happened on DC: Never had anything bad happen, luckily.

Best thing that happened on DC: Hmm, probably starting my own private hub for friends.

Funniest thing that happened on DC: The original PWDC... or PWSDC++ or whatever, when I screwed it up before Crise fixed my mistakes.

  4. Dunno which one we're going with, geek-nerds :blushing:

47% scored higher (more nerdy), and

    53% scored lower (less nerdy).

What does this mean? Your nerdiness is:

Somewhat nerdy. I mean face it, you are nerdier than about half the test takers.

    OR

    Overall, you scored as follows:

40% scored higher (more computer geeky),

    0% scored the same, and

    60% scored lower (less geeky).

Compared to those in the same age group as you:

43% scored higher (more computer geeky),

    1% scored the same, and

    56% scored lower (less geeky).

What does this mean? Your computer geekiness is:

Low Ranking Computer Geek. Definitely a Computer Geek, but low in the computer geek social structure.

Eh, you'd never know it. I just happen to work with computers for a living.... and end up at places like this randomly.

  5. Most likely will run on any Pentium 200 Mhz or higher (or equivalent) with 64 MB of RAM and Windows 98 or higher. I think that's a pretty good estimate. Mind you, it may be really slow with those specs, but I've done it.
