  1. Did that. I uninstalled Audible which was probably a good idea. The program Apex DC++ 1.0.1 stayed up for 20 minutes and crashed again. This time I got a windows (XP Pro) message - the blue splash screen - telling me that windows had to close to protect my computer, etc. etc..

    Now what do I do?

    Check RAM - Memtest

    Check HDD - HDD Regenerator

  2. That`s a good one .Unfortunetly it`s hard to find people to help his project. I tried for 10 years to convice Microsoft to adopt my multilinguage oparating sistem, and all they manage to do is a lauzy unilnguage interface, a translation program that most of thr time it doesn`t work ,and also speach recognition progran that works just for a few languges ,and just fot 20% of their capacity

Corporations and politics prefer globalization and english-speaking zombies, so there will be no any food for translators. :P

  3. We with Jack already discussed them, imo quite good and event-suitable.

Hey, don't you think I have heard the sounds before being able to discuss? If TheJackal really has hurt your ears, your posts really are hurting my eyes, more and more and more. Your so called "joke", for which you pretend to be very wise, deep and understandable only by great brains like yours, should then be posted in PM. And PM to yourself, since I feel really dumb now and I fel hou bed mi Englych ys. If you were expecting a direct answer from TheJackal, you should have PMed him. Now get what you have asked for, bare with me, Mikey and eventually rest of the team. I will do my best to virtually terminate you, and will do it not with anger, but with pleasure. And at the end, if I am successful, I will put my iron boots and do with you what Achiles did with Hector's corpse. As you say, emo time here:  :blink::lol::lol::D:):D:DB):D If there was any mistake at all, it is that TheJackal does not speak English good, and maybe should have posted in the BG section first. imo it is safer and more peaceful there, do not know why.

With all being written above, I sincerely wish you to have a nice day, which is highly unlikely if you behave the same way in real life, or unless you are a masochist.

@Mikey - thanks, you really spoke my mind.

  4. he can download normally with 0.674 because that version will download of anyone. The check didn't come into about 0.694 (?).

While 0.401 supports TTH, it doesn't support TTHL and TTHF which were introduced in 0.402.

    I see, thanks for explaining.

  5. OK, seems I made a slight mistake here, hehe. Still, how he can "download normally with DC++ 0.674" and isn't the minimum allowed 0.401, not 0.402?

  6. "Remote client does not support TTH" - these are usually old, and always unstable clients. They do not hash, so it is possible to spread "broken" files on DC. For this reason TTH-supporting clients are not downloading from non-TTH supportin ones, for safety reasons. While non-TTH supporting clients and as it seems the original DC++ are able to download from all. But I am kicking for no TTH support in all hubs where I can.

  7. Which Linux kernal are you using?

None of them fully support linux, some are better than others. But mostly, anything NTFS under linux will cause problems.

Unfortunately I recently have made up a report about NTFS (basically a Wiki translation  ), and I know there are drivers for safe read/write of NTFS under Linux. So why (the h*ll) it should cause problems...

  8. It was Firestater problem in connection... and i managed to deal with it now every thing is fine

    Thanx guys =)

but i would like to stress on something i experienced while using Apex 0.4.0 : (under Wine 0.9.56 ,0.9.57 ,0.9.58 and 0.9.59)

Setting up on a Winows format (NTFS or FAT32) causes unstable and unusual behavior ,like in segmented downloading getting a message from some users "path to file not found" and things like that

and after changing the download and uncompleted files folders (and the installation files) to .ext3 every thing worked well including the segmented dl....

Can you please check SDC++ 2.12 and native DC++ 0.705 under same conditions (NTFS and FAT32) and report feedback? Thanks in advance.

  9. Hmm interesting, I run NOD32 on the laptop (AVG everywhere else), if it helps, I can run Apex on the Laptop for a bit to do some diagnostics?

Yes, please do... If not a problem. But we need to know what usage was it when it crashed (download, upload, etc...).

  10. hehe Satan rox ;) as for downgrading well if the user can ignore the developers recommendation and the changelog and the errors in the client and the rest that follows with the downgrade he is actually pretty dumb.

this is a common problem on dc that users downgrade to older versions due to some small feature that they choose not to understand and just plainly disregard it instead in the end this will result in force upgrading instead of free upgrading

Force upgrading = Client change :whistling: In fact, no user has to bear with a support, calling him dumb.
