I would consider an upgrade if possible, clocked Intel Slot1 300A or some Pentium II over 300 MHz (on your existing MB) and 128 or more MB RAM should be enough for Win 2000.

Are you really sure you clicked OK after the shot? Or Cancel? Sorry for the dumb question, it happens...

IMHO he reports exactly the successful check by the test button. Make sure you have forwarded ports correctly, that ISP does not block these port(s) (I recommend one and the same port no. for TCP and UDP), check any firewalls (the Windows firewall also), and of course ensure you have a real IP address (Google>> What is my IP, then compare with Start>>Run>>cmd>>OK>>ipconfig>>ENTER).

The user can bring the case to the attention of some OP.

Doesn't the DC++ emulation suit you? It's more likely to be kicked for not having any tag, than for having DC++ one. :)
-
I consider it normal, especially if the PC is weaker and there are many hubs open or many transfers going...
-
And also min/max only of the selected window (hub), not all of them... I know it is the same in SDC++, but there should be some solution.
-
It was a pleasure for me (ok, and also a duty ) to help.
-
I can explain the purpose (feel free not to shut up though ) - Some hubs will kick you for search spam, since search loads the hub. You can decrease the interval (Settings>>Advanced>>Experts Only>>Minimum Search Interval). HTH, Zlobomir

Hey, but you aren't going to customize Apex for each single PC/user, are you? :)

Well, I agree that the prefixes are a good way, I got the idea at the beginning. But this looks for me like a workaround, not a real solution. Welcome messages are usually shown, regardless of whether your client will use them for trigger or not. I do not insist, I'm not a programmer, but if the welcome messages can be used IMHO it's silly to excuse with coding. Not assigning top priority ok, although it is a function, not GUI. P. S. What you meant by "open to abuse"?

Shhhhhhhhhhhht! I can guess the reason... PM if interested.

It's not only in yours. I reported somewhere. But even for 2 PCs, it's not a problem. ;)

OK, waiting. I also reached the guide and just wondered, because in order to have Italian translation, there must be some original to translate. ;)
-
It may be a great OPTION. You mean the Transfer window (where the bars and % completed are)?
-
Well, you may use chat log or copy/paste in text editor, then search, if or until there is a better solution. ;)

But with all these details, will the hashing take much longer? Of course it will compensate when moving, but how much time it will take for the first hashing?

Actually I see this as a weakness, because the user can say: "I need an older client, because it works with the two types of filelists, till the newer clients work only with the *.xml list"? Edit: I read. Again. Carefully. Understood. Have fun. Delete. Please. Thanks. ;)

Yes, but I meant that the OP will possess the hub and the client. And he will be able to set the Welcome message for VIPs and also the (same) extended check share trigger in his client, based on the hub's message. F. ex. I am the OP: 1. Set on hub the VIP Velcome message "Hello VIP protected user" 2. Set in the net client option the trigger "Hello VIP protected user" (actually it will be vice-versa: Check all that are not welcomed with such message). If you find the idea good, this could be added for all user groups. So you can Protect Owner, OP, VIP and Registered, or only Owner and OP, etc.

AFAIK about programming (nothing ), this is good and right way, but I would prefer other features first. And for apreading the program, it's much easier to copy two files, rather than 5 or ten, or clicking on the installer... I would recommend to look at HFS Server and its auto-update function.

I use Ice Chat and HydraIRC, and find them better than mIRC... But I'm a strange person. Will the pluin work there?
-
Geez, now we need also "Turn on %SomeAncientClient% Emulation" ;)

Well, in order to help, if Rat2000 is too upset to use DC++, he maybe wants smth like AntsP2P, Shinkuro or Gnunet? They can be found with Google. But I doubt about the content and variety on these young networks. To finish the story - the three men were released after day or two, although they probably lost the PCs. But notice: torrents. Nobody chased DC++ in here still. @Rigor O'Mortis - Yes, Romania, it's easier to guess from the From: .

Will we have some English sample to use for translations, or it is available, but too well hidden?

Is it applicable to use a "non-user serviceable" part in My Info? Is it so easy to edit this data at all?
