Yes, it works if old client is Strong DC++ 2.0+ compatible (and AFAICR for fav hubs only, if not), but you will loose any updates to the list.

http://portforward.com/english/routers/por...T624v3/DC++.htm This is the best thing I found. Pls try, if not helping, write back. P. S. Thanks Lee, I am ready to delete this line too if you remove post 8, so all will be nice and clean. :stuart:

I guess you are right.

If all the three times were before the reboot, it SHOULD be smth wrong with the OS. I know this seems to be the easiest excuse, but it seems also highly probable...

If you ask me, it is a matter of good will. I entered several hubs with equal size and thematics and have encountered a completely different attitude in them. I was allowed to stay in most ones, and these turned to be worth staying in. Regarding bandwidth, even on my screen-shot you can see some very unequal distribution between peers, but not so low that any of them should complain. But as you mentioned, we have a live life too, so when I download another stuff or play online the speeds are quite low. I assume this is acceptable for a while, but it may be the moment for manual checking from OP-side... It is really not easy to judge users and imo it should be done carefully, especially when OP risks to harm the interests of all the others in the hub. Still, while being in one, I expect just a little bit of respect, as well as I am respecting the people there, regardless of their status. :stuart:

This is exactly what I would like to know (except that some hub staff assumes high number of slotss/hubs as a sign you are a malicious bot), but even this is not the case here, and it is like to accept each man with a knife for a killer, although this comparison has worn out... And I can, and sometimes do provide twice the shown speeds. But if smo raises the question so to the OP, hehe, it is arguing with smo, who is always right. :stuart:

1. Hm, smtms you can find a really sick OP. 2. As long as you do not know the reason I have 60 slots, and do not know I can afford ~10-20Kb/s on each, which imo is completely enough for files in size up to 10MB, I prefer not to be in your network at all and let your poor users searching for another sources. I like to give the best possible access to my data, if it is not fine with you, be it. P. S. [15.2.2007 г. 00:57:38] <

I believe it is only the site, since even when the test fails, the program may operate normally. And if it is a port or firewall settings, the program just could not search/download.

Just noticed it is different from http://forums.apexdc.net/index.php?showtopic=1302 , so split.

Suggestion: Some poor configured bot, which is the default case with PtokaX. What hubsoft you are using?

I think it will be good if user is able to limit the size of his logs, I hope I am not missing an existing option. There may be various ways, like max. single file size (not too good), max. folder size, delete files older than X days...
-
Really nice idea. But if also an eMule-like option is possible (Show Uploads, Show Downloads, U/L+FL, FL only), it will be great... and a tab or maybe only the log for FL will be enough. As for FL moment status, if smo (Crise? ) is so kind to add Userlist bkgrnd, it will be come possible to set more colors for users, incl. FL status (3-4 stages). Even some bar below the nick in Userlist, reflecting FL transfer?

Between post IDs 5 and 6 please imagine my post with proposition to test different clients inside and outside Hamachi. I really sorry for this mess, imo now the topic looks a little better... Now mine zips must be downloaded and ready for testing, watch for results. :)

On Win 2003 Server and Apex 0.4.0 I can't reproduce... But my path is a little weird, C:\Extra Prog\ApexDC++\ . I use such structure on most PCs I am taking care of, actually all the programs except drivers and hardware-connected utilities (CD-burning soft) stay in Extra Prog. And sorry if it seems funny, but since you have installed Apex where it should be, and using an Admin credentials/account, the problem may be in... er, Windows? You see by youself, when using Classic Start Menu all is OK. However let's wait for the dev's comments.

Different filelist tab icon(s) for offline users.

I know, and have said that quite a long ago. Except two leechy-feechy, IMHO all the others will be good to see in Apex. -
We have had reports for lost Favs list *.xmls, but it was more due to abnormal program behavior at shutdown and using of End task (or smth like this AFAICR). However I personally, although sometimes forced to use the End task "utility", never had such problem... As for your case, what is your exact installation path? I have a high doubt that Apex is installed in a "wrong" place.

Forgive for commenting on this, but IMHO why not? Like: /join (connect, whatever) dc.some.test.hub:411 *Connected /listurs Ana* 3 share *Ana 80GB *Anabel 30GB *Anana 10GB /getfl Ana *Done /openfl Ana Bla Bla Bla.bs (content) /getfn Bla Bla Bla.bs C:\Testing *File saved to C:\Testing Is this what you want, some way to test basic functionality? If not, well, as GUI so and so will be needed, why not make it now? This may answer to point 3. as well.

OK, IMHO we need to check this and see the results... Please follow the topic for development...

I think it is not a bug, just "too" realtime update. But if this happens during the transfer of a big file, it deserves attention.
-
Can you give any examples of file names and extensions, which are missing? Are these multimedia files (specifically, pictures)? If you can't note the exact file, what is the difference in size of the original and received dirs? I have a doubt about smth like Thumbs.db, sorry if sounds stupid.

I read for myself like this: When user double clicks the installer, he will see just a window with drop-down box, containing the languages, OK and Cancel button. After he selects the desired language, everything, the setup and the program, should be in this language. If you are afraid of what I think you are afraid (no option for automatically setting the *.xml), then the end setup page may contain a brief instruction for changing the language by the user, of course in the language of the installer. I doubt the sense of a localized installer only, most users know to click yes or the option which ungrays "the button which does not lead to the previous screen". And they know how to contact PC support after this, of course. Mostly because they do not read at all. Some installers even rely on Win language options, but I hate doing change after program installation, just because some *.exe thinks it is more clever than me. Anyway, I meant the installers all look common and if smth is to be pain in the ass for the user, this would be the program, not the installer. And I like the idea for downloading of lang files.

I would like to have equal height of both, meaning that opening of a new row will take always exactly one row from Transfers, and not leaving the user viewing half a row and resizing constantly the Transfers area.

This is really funny, because: 1. The OP is usually right, and in the case there is no exception. 2. JalobaRabbi can easily change nick, share, and IP with some hassle. No ISP will refuse an extra $ only for such mumbo-jumbo in some chat or PM. 3. SOME ISPs really do not know what are doing, or are simply nasty. In this regard, am I to set the lowest possible value in my settings, stay only in hubs that bear with me, make peers suicide at the look of my upload speed, while actually having far better speed? Frankly, for this reason I even do not watch what I set in these fields. I have 35 slots open, and nearly 35 hubs all the time, and some of the people downloading from me get ~200K (not k) constant, others get ~5K. No clue why. I believe it is not my fault.

Really weird, at least Techgeeks is fine here.

Hm, as long as PWDC++ is not developed anymore, this could remain unresolved... But please, provide more details about your soft- and hardware, have you been doing smth specific when PWDC crashed?
