Well, I just tell you a sad known fact. ApexDC++ does not generate exceptioninfo.txt on Win 2000. http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2005/05/27/422721.aspx The key difference between mainstream support and extended support which I think is most relevant to this audience is this quote from the lifecycle site: "Microsoft will not accept requests for warranty support, design changes, or new features during the Extended support phase." We will of course continue to keep our Windows 2000 SP4 customers secure with security updates through the life of Windows 2000 (through 2010). And the root explanation is very vulgar, abusive and unprofessional... MS is like war: Popular and spread, but causing too many losses, crashes, etc.

Let's start with two: http://forums.apexdc.net/index.php?showtopic=461 http://forums.apexdc.net/index.php?showtopic=462 Please feel free to ask any specific questions if you encounter a problem.
-
I hope this will be no issue in ADC.
-
Yes, better they than some malicious team, imagine a data loss. Altho we should have a daily backup, it is not very pleasant.
-
About crashes, pls provide us with exceptioninfo.txt . It is usually in C:\Program Files\ApexDC++\Settings\. If you are on Win 2000, as the report suggests, we can't do much... there should not be any exceptioninfo.txt, OS is too old.

Yes Pedja, it is just that when you make smth more convenient, it usually becomes more complex, then usually becomes worse. That's why i use BG with Latin letters in chats, where this "uglification" is not permanently written. On the other hand, afaik specifically for BG lang all problems started even with the first "assistance" we Bulgarians provided IBM. F. ex. "ОТТУК НАСАМ" cannot be determined easily by PCs... more for it on http://injinera.bgplus.com/na4alo.htm It is on Bulgarian.

Yes, I noticed too, thank you for the more professional explanation. @ Staff:

Dunno. I would try if I needed it. :D

Some way is Refresh User list, I will look into a descriptive topic about all the Apex commands. Or our /help output is actual already? (I know I should know) :D
-
Sharing your opinion here, as the thread in News is already too long (activating balanced thread load technology). :D
-
Hmph? Betas are "our client" too, what do you mean? And if you mean that it is Ptokax bug, why it is ok with 0.4.0? And how a bug in any hub can crash any client at all? Sorry if I am bs-ing here, but for me there is lots of wires and stuff between both at least. @Staff - Pls split and move to Support?
-
Fair enough, delete the topic. I will rely on all the others to see when the server load was high, all the others may do the same. :crying: P. S. I thought that this forum section is for such threads, in case it is smth we can have some influence on (f. ex. inform our host).

Until ~08:40 GMT on 13.05.07 for me the forums were offline and yes, my I-net connection was OK. Problem was at least for 20-30 mins.
-
Hmm, let's say the browser stood long time loading, giving only a fully white, blank page, not 404. Toast was here with me when all went back to normal (in the list of users). @Seeker - What do you mean? I feel this needs to be solved before getting frequent.
-
Reported, known, devs. working on it atm, search next time.

remote client does not fully support TTH - cannot download
Zlobomir replied to diacob2006's topic in Support
Delicate one, see, it looks we are smart enuf to block only download from... Like when you can only fire a gun w/o ability to aim it, and still fire it. -
np, I just got the impression Sidey is a bit swamped with hubs...
-
As it is getting quite annoying, I can host smth like TGO 2 if you like? Imo it will be a good move, since in case TGO 1 is offline, TGO 2 will allow normal functionality... Even might be possible to do it fully automatic, to redirect users between hubs on hub full/hub failed?
-
Our developers are working on v. 1.0.0, so please bare with us for some time, if the crash is not frequent... or try 1.0.0 B2, which has only a few, but proven bugs to clear.

Hi, If you have not typed "/fav" in main chat of the connected hubs, now the best thing you can do is search for the files on public hubs, see http://forums.apexdc.net/index.php?showtopic=68 for some good ones. Hope that files weren't too rare. If you have done "/fav" before, just go to Favorite Hubs (yellow star icon or Ctrl+F) and check the box before the hub(s) name(s). Either the first or the second method, then go to Download Queue (Ctrl+D) and with right-click on each file choose "Search for alternates". See also the screen shot for the queue Settings I use. To open Settings, go to File>>Settings.

Known issue, I hope Crise is working on it, if not fixed yet.
-
Please try these as well...
-
We can do it as an extra in right-click menu, where the emopacks are selected, and may be unhided by clicking on the thin remaining line, like "lock taskbar" in windows

Hm... how should I deal with such inquiry? a) Like this: 1. It is already solved many times on this forum. 2. "I have searched" sounds better than "I am sorry", better lie than be annoyinng. Esp. when it is not clear which is the lie. 3. Nope, can't help ya. Like this: http://forums.apexdc.net/index.php?showtopic=129 Sorry, do not take it to heart, nobody knows everything, just I am a little sleepy right now and needed to make some fun.

Also, you might want to check the box "Apply to the default user profile as well". Another aspect, if you have ever installed a so-called "cyrillization" program, even if removed it later, your code pages are badly f* up (happens in Bulgaria with Flextype and similar). Or maybe this evil happened to the host PC, on which the hub is running... Just guessing. But the fact I am reading normally the cited hub is a good clue that the problem should be in your box. You are probably using KOIR-8, mine is on 1251, but shouldn't have influence on DC. [07.05.2007 01:39:39] <[BG]ZloboMi®> Ð
