there must be some reason why it starts downloading at position -1Quite agree, unless there is something like StartAt(Rand())
I tried deleting the queue.xml altogether added a few files and unfortunately the result is very same, invalid request and a crash.
I can't find any pattern in it,
- tried users with several clients 0.698, apex 0.4.0, 0.674, some others maybe; anyway from one user one file can be downloaded, and other file can't
- tried op/nonop
- tried ynhub, ptokax
what else is there to try?
-
I tried to reproduce the bug by changing the source and if remote client returns me "Invalid request" then it won't crash. So it looks like your queue.xml is corrupted.Well it's a queue.xml which works perfecly fine on Fuldc, but i'll try it with fresh and new one.
BTW, it seems that i get invalid request for anytihng smaller then 30MB.
-
just to clarify, this happens with various clients and users, but only on smaller files ( < 1MB maybe ?), one file from a user can trigger invalid request and a crash, while another (larger) will download fine.
-
Apex DC crashes on startup when connection set to "firewall with manual prot forwarding" and don't allow to override; while either the TCP or UDP port are already occupied.

just to link it together, in case someone is really interested

Contents of the exceptioninfo file are posted above. Actually i was more interested in the 'Invalid request' thingy, any idea about that?
PS: W2k too old? It's still supported by MS, and frankly i don't think there is anything WXP can do that W2k can't (not counting the fancy windows, as that doesn't affect the functionality)

Hello,
i've been getting the 'invalid request' message while trying to download from one user. Any ideas why this happens? Or any ideas what to check?

In the download queue, the file progress is all yelllow, showing downloaded size -1B (-0.00%). When i fous the Apex the download queue again then the progressbar disappears (image attached) and ApexDC locks or crashes (crash log bellow). There is no incomplete file for that download.

Hello,
I just wanted to say that i really like the 1.0.B4 alot. I've been using it heavily since it came out and it works like charm. I didn't find any single problem, it's just working. Finally after several years i have a DC client which i'm happy with. Thanks a lot guys and keep it up :)
