    I have a suggestion. I know the forums offer RSS feed for the Announcement section. I check my feeds several times a day and thought it would be nice if the RSS feeds would cover all threads on here as well as the tester area. I could keep up even at work and probably be more active from time to time. For some weird reason the computer at work restricts me from accessing the board so I don't get but every so many days to stop and check it at home. Not sure if anyone else would benefit from this but I do think it would be a nice addition to the board.

    Hello, I wanted to install ApexDC 0.4.0 but when I start fires the update and I have to update the program, and perhaps not so I downloaded an older version of that right to change it later. Even after the inclusion of options so that you do not check for updates it is now not only checks the message pops up, and the program is off. This update is not needed, but force the user to a newer version. Is to somehow work around? Please help, bless. :)

    This has been answered a few times over Osmium. Please search the forum before posting. :)

    How do u fix this?

    First off this isnt relevant to the topic of this thread nor Apex...Secondly so the hub is offline. Umm what exactly do you want fixed? You need to be a bit more specific. Thanks.

    I am using the same version of Apex (1.1.0). And, I'm assuming you wish to minimize to the task bar instead of the system tray. If this is true, then:

    Go to Settings --> Appearance. Under Options, uncheck "Minimize to tray."

    Does this solve your problem?

    Yesthat should solve it.

    Well its a common fact that user doesnt care enough to read the changelog (which is a shame..) in any case if they didnt read it does their opion matter ?

    What? Changelogs....Users are supposed to read that? LOL Thats the problem with alot of software on the internet. They expect the best release to be the first release and don't give a damn what has been done to make the program better.

    Funny how you comment that loads of people are having this problem. Yet we have only recieved a few post's from people having probs.

    Please dont blame your messed up PC on us.

    But its easier that way to some. That way they don't have to own up to there own screw ups. Its easier to blame then to take blame :)

    Change ISP

    Comcast is trafficshaping all P2P Software

    I have Comcast and I have no issues. I simply in advance settings have the garbage over TCP connection settings checked and my limiter set to 114k down and 29k up. Comcast has yet to traffic shape my P2P at all. Infact the only thing they seem to shape around here is torrents, but that is no surprise as it has been all over the news. I don't use torrents myself as there is to much of a risk anyhow. I am actually quite satisfied with Comcast. When they took over the company I had my price went down and my speeds stayed the same. I rarely loose my connect and have no issues with any traffic shaping outside of torrents. I really do not understand some of the fuss over Comcast especially coming from people who don't use Comcast or never will.

    If your using Comcast post a message I wanna hear what others overall experience with it has been.

    My speed now. I am hosting 2 hubs in the peak time of day. 3 computers online and 3 clients online, 1 download and 2 uploads.

    ... and still no updates to Strong and Apex, hehe...

    Might I add 0.706 is a "BETA" so, why would you want Apex updated with such a client. Updating to a BETA source could possibly cause bugs in Apex. No one wants that because if they did Crise, Lee and the rest of us on the Apex Team would have to spend our days answering forum post to why "ApexDC was released buggy" like has happen before. I think Lee is on the right track..I will wait patiently for 1.1 and test any build for testers in between rather then have a buggy public release.

    Agreed! There is a fine line between feedback and disrespect and your wording in your first post was disrespect, and for that fact the others after it werent far from it either. BTW the analogy you used and posted a comment was uncalled for. Please don't ever use my nick when creating your own disrespectful analogies. Thats how things get started that don't need started.     Ok so your complaining because your to lazy to remove that sound from settings so that doesn't happen? I don't understand what point your trying to make here. The sounds are a customizable feature. Not one person said you had to use a single one of them. If you don't like it then just remove it, simple as that. We don't need a great big story to why you don't like it or find it sadistic or whatever you wanna call it. Your griping over spilt milk. I think in all the time you spent to type that big post you could of solved it by editing your settings. We are developers and testers. The Apex team provides you with the material you want/need for the client. It is the users responsibility to set the client up to there likings.

    So I ask one final time. What exactly do you want us to do about it? Fly over there and remove that particular sound for you?

    Grrr, are YOU sadistic OR just not able/willing to do better? :) Still, afaik almost no one has submitted any sounds up to now, so let's kill him? :blink: Sounds are customizable, everyone can change any particular sound.

    I agree Z and I wasn't laughing at the statement made in hate. I was laughing at the way he put it and his inability to customize his own client. :thumbsup:

    oriuskhan if you need assistance one of us would be happy to assist you. Don't just assume because you didn't set your client up how you prefer that someone else is insane or sadistic..It may just be your the sadistic or insane one... :unsure:

    Wonder if this is a ptokax specific bug or ApexDC++.

    I noticed the same issue in a few hubs I was in. I reverted back to see if it was in the PtokaX lastest software. It seems to be a problem in Apex. When reverting back the kickbar messages worked as they should. When going back to Apex Final 1.0.1 the kickbar messages again appeared in main. (Yes I checked my settings to make sure they were set correctly)
