  1. Change your default download folder to a location that isn't within your program files folder, or disable this feature in Vista. We may have to work on making the client/installer checking which OS is used and asking the user to change the default download directory.

  2. I find it almost impossible to believe that PWDC is more stable than the latest version of ApexDC++ (either stable or beta). However, we already have a team of testers, but we can't create all situations and we can't find all bugs from just them, so we release it to the users, all we're doing is letting everyone be a tester, people don't have to be, we make it quite clear they're beta versions. Having said that, the latest beta is rather stable. If we didn't release the betas then people would probably just ask us to hurry up development anyway. The significant bugs that were present in Beta 1 and 2 were not discovered until these releases were released to the public, we feel it's worth us releasing these betas as they let us know of any bugs, and allow people to see our progress.

The crashes that are discovered will be worked on, and Big Muscle posted what he believes may be a possible work-around for one of them. Beta software has bugs, and we're working on that, we invite users to help us find bugs and give us information about them which may help I solve them. We should probably start linking more to the relevant thread when a thread is closed due to it having already been reported, however it is common sense to lock them rather than have multi discussions about the same thing.

  3. Go to File --> Settings --> Downloads --> File Preview. You can add applications here that Apex will allow you to use to preview files (by right-clicking on them whilst they download I believe). An application which may be worth adding is VLC (click for link), it should be able to preview both audio and video pretty well. AVIPreview is an alternative, but probably not worth adding. Screenshot included showing where you should be looking in the ApexDC++ settings dialogue.

  4. Main characters in the story are called Ben and Alison. There's also a character in the film who was in a number of Friends episodes. Will post another screenshot from the movie later if no one can get it still.

  5. Uninstall NOD32 altogether and use AVG Free Edition instead :D

NOD32 is awesome. Try both, and Kaspersky, last time I did AVG slowed down the load up time when I booted up, not good.

I've not noticed this crash before after installing NOD32, at the moment I don't have it installed though, so will give it a try.

  6. Now I'm the one who doesn't understand :D.

Basically, this behaviour is still there. However, rather than clicking on whitespace you're clicking on a hub in the favorites window. In the favorite hubs window there is "full line select", meaning all the area from the tickbox to the end of the email column is all not whitespace where you can start a selection. If you want to select in the manner which you are talking about then you either need to click and drag from the bottom of the favorites hubs list as Mikey suggested, or make your columns smaller to select from the right side of the window.

Is that any clearer? (I probably didn't explain too well, maybe full line selection wasn't in place before 0.3 though.)

  7. Moved to the Support forum, this doesn't relate to this ApexDC++ website. As Satan said, you should give us some more info, such as the reason you were banned, then we might be able to help.
