not all of them. or at least not the way they should. for example the matrix script in rsx++ works like a charm no matter what version of the script i use.
but it doesn't work ok in apex. at best i can trigger it but in some hubs like Geek-Op i get kicked for supplying a different nickname. my correct nick is [Vatos

if i remember correctly the point of lua scripts is to ease the client and prevent it from being too heavy.
besides if the script already works for you there shouldn't be any problem :)

ok so if i get this right i can use any lua script from rsx++ in apex right ?
or is lua different in this one ?

i voted no for both since i don't think it is really necessary to let everyone now in the hub that i have added something in to my share. if i really need to tell them then i tell them i have new stuff so they can check my filelist. imagine what this could be in a rather big hub where there's always something new added to someone share.
for hte second part i also think it is somehow useless because come on what's next ? gonna ask apex to cook your dinner ? don't try to push the client too far but rather try to keep it simple.

i'm not sure i can reproduce this since all i did was send a pm to a user then send apex to tray and play nfs undercover for hours. and pc was running for days
what happened to that pm wasn't anything of my intention. i just noticed it

i noticed today after closing my game and going back to apex (1.1.0) that a pm window, which i used to send a message asking for a password to a non registered user, stayed blue (user online) while user had actually gone offline
.it's the first time i see this kind of bug even if it isn't troublesome for me. just seems weird :stuart: .

Iranmaster go to sharing in your clients settings and select your shared folders again. this hapened to me aswell last night with version 1.0.0 and i hope it's fixed in the new 1.0.1 am i wrong ?

Not the first startup apparently. other settings are also gone when upgrading. looks like basic settings take over from the upgrade

Need to edit my post already.
Noticed a few things. First when updating from beta5 (dunno for the rest) i had to reselect all my shared folders in order for my share to be visible again (good thing i know which ones i share). also other few settings that dissapear like in my case the external ip from connection settings making a few hubs refuse my login (ip based). other options get unchecked from windows tab (like open new pm in background and so on) and other are checked (not only in windows). maybe default settings take over (not nice for users who spent quite some time try to set the client)

concerning window menu - never used menus lol. though i was rather thinking at having a few buttons in the toolbar.
concerning second notepad - why not ? can be useful to have your stuff sorted out better.
concerning apex not being op client - ok. though i hope apexop client will have these features (and perhaps more). i'm tired of using too many clients when it comes to dc.

Here are the features/changes i would like to see in apexdc++
- ops sorted before chatrooms and hub security in userlist.
- button to clear all mainchats (zk++)
- button to reconnect all disconnected hubs ( needed when for example i loose my connection )(zk++)
- button to close all disconnected hubs (zk++) and online/offline pm
- button to start/stop checking in current hub
- button to start/stop checking in all hubs (where op of course)
- second notepad (separate useful stuff from ascii and blabla)
- isp check
- fake share detected (having xml file with fake values)
The reason for me asking all these is because as far as i'm concerned apexdc++ (using beta4) doesn't look like an op client. and i use it only for sharing.
I would like to use it for doing operator stuff which i can't really do so far.

hey guys. don't know if there was already something like this in some other thread but i didn't find anything while browsing (maybe too fast).
today October 7th i noticed when sending a pm to a user in a private hub and receiving back a notice pm (that pms are disabled) that this pm when right clicking on it had every command from every hub i am connected to. the drop down menu that opened had every right click command from every hub i am in. stupid thing is that it drops down "under" the screen and i can't close it eventhough it's not a big deal having it there (just a pm after all).

So i decided to post the exception.txt file.
The crashes always accured when i when i was having like more than 20 open windows (mc and pm) and while browsing download queue when client is using lots of cpu because of too many downloads (rather sources).

Alright I seriously have to express myself so there goes : What the f*ck ?!
today (20/02/2007) my 11th crash with apex 0.4.0 Now I don't know what I'm doing wrong with this client but 11 crashes is too many.
all i'm doing with this client is connect to hubs, check filelists where i'm op (check filelist command mostly) have a few pms (one feed and other chat from hubs)
I only have 2 uploads plus the 3 filelist ones and I'm using a few user commands from the settings/advanced/user commands.
Now all these crashes seem to occur when i'm switching from a hub tab to another or when I'm sending pms.
Crise my away message is : I'm away. You know what to do. Check out Apexdc++ v0.4 you might even like it
So as you can see I'm trying my best to encourage people to use this client but if crashes continue to occur I'm considering changing my client to some other one.
But it's not what I want to do because I like apexdc++. It' the only client that i ever used apart from dc++ 0.674 which is my first client ever.
I uploaded my exceptionlist file so you can see all my crashes along with my ADLsearch.xml. Thanks

I'd say as long as they don't bundle it with some bull**** toolbars it's all good.
However, I didn't quite understand who decides which software is recommended.
Best thing would be to be able to recommend software that apex users are most likely to use (e.g. a media player)
Another thing though
How much do you really expect to earn using this method ? what i mean is: would it be enough to meet all your needs ?
I mean it's not like anyone would install apex every week or even every month unless they mess up their system that often :unsure:
