I dunno why everyone is treating Vista like some brand new state of the art OS, its just XP on steroids, vastly improved, nothing more. It will act like XP, feel like XP, only difference it will look better. All of your hardware form 3 years back will work. Whats the big deal. Switch youll love it. ohh and btw. why would you need autopatcher. just get an OEM vista, its "genuine" so all your updates and ultimate extras will be available. also: if you really want to test your RAM and CPU id suggest you try using sidebar to the fullest (using 45MB of RAM currently, i can live with that) and DreamScene backgrounds (bitching my CPU to a constant usage of 40% both cores, now with that i cant live, that **** is just too much LOL!) Athlon 64 DualCore 4600+ 2GB RAM

Try Vista it now updates form Control Panel, no need for IE or any other browser.

I still remember MyIE2 or whatever was it called before Maxthon. If it were build on IE7 from start which by the way was not possible at the time it could have been preety good.

If you ask me, if a site does not work on standards complaint browsers such as Firefox, Opera, Safari etc. then the site is not worth me visiting it. And in general every big site works on all now. So stop visiting crappy OLD obsolete idiotic sites and use a proper browser like IE7 if you so fond of the IE engine. Im not even telling you to switch to alternatives, just dont use obsolete browsers

Maxthon - Have you tried it - yes its ****, if you prefer IE, then IE7 is probably better. has tabs and such if your happy with that. Unlocker - Needed NotePad++ - Notepad is not suficient at all for me. SnagIt - I´m not on Vista Ashampoo Burning Studio - Nero is bloted with stuff you don´t need, this is a good burning software - install only Nero Express Incredimail - I don´t like Outlook and this program has a nice interface and some good features - you obviously havent tried Outlook 2007 TuneUp Utilities - wtf are you talking about, maybe on Vista - such apps are POS in general. and totaly obsolete on Vista Your Uninstaller! - Uninstalles better than any other - again, why do you need anything at all beside the build in windows uninstaller? And just a side note. Have you tried switching to vista? it doesnet have all those annoing things XP is stuck with, including scrambled user permissions for which you need unlocker to deal with. and lots of other stuff.

Nero pwns this. Incredimail - e-mail - Outlook 2007 pwns this by far vlc - Media Player - Good choice, although i use MP classic TuneUp Utilities - System tool - Obsolete uTorrent - Torrent ApexDC++ - DC Your Uninstaller! - Uninstaller - Not needed MSN messenger - messenger MS Office 2003 - Office - Switch to 2007 cFosSpeed - Internet optimizer - Not needed only thing id add would be DeamonTOOLS

Its undeniable that Firefox can have a way more extended feature count that Opera using the right extensions. But the bottom line is that Firefox is slow and uses up too much RAM, tried it, even liked it for a while, then switched back to Opera again and though what the hell was i thinking ;)

The spelling is bad, but the external link is very well made, allot of explanation, yes it is to a specific hub, it would probably be more convinient if it was PeerWeb Open Hub, or TGO, but then again serbian users are likely to get more newbie answers on that specific serbian hub then on either TGO or PeerWeb. Why should decantralization be a bad thing. More advertising toward the end product (client) rather then to our hubs.
