  1. Resume should be on Normal priority, otherwise it maybe too difficult to implement.

Edit: If the file disappears off the transfer view due to it being 'cleaned', then it should stay on Paused until the user Resumes it via the Download Queue.

  2. We plan to have an enhanced installer that allows the user to install either one of the following:

    • Default DC++ icons
    • StrongDC++ icons
    • PeerWeb DC++ icons (or default apex)
    • ApexDC++ icons (if some are created - not sure at this point)

This may increase the size of the installer considerably though, and the Binary version will only have ApexDC++ icons.

  3. sweet i like them :)

note: there is typo in the donator icon it says: "Donater" currently.

edit: fixed alredy, i just saw the cached versions :)

Heh, yeah. Inkorp had a spelling mistake I didn't even notice until Wheezy pointed it out. :D

  4. The forums are currently in the proccess of being skinned, this may take a few days (thanks to KP). Please hit Ctrl + F5 if you wish to see the new images and gradients, feel free to comment on them here. Once this is successfully complete, we will announce the staff team (the people behind ApexDC++, including the latest additions to the Developer group).

  5. if thats true give a quick explanation of how i would do this

In the settings, go to Colors & Fonts. You can change the toolbar icons by going to the Toolbar setting. :D

  6. I would like if U could make possible that the client remmembers from what user Ur dowloading file even if they R not online... Manny times i forget from whom i started 2 download file... and we can check when was the last time that user visited HUB... so 2C is it possible its a dead link....

Download Queue > look along the columns and you'll find Users, where it lists all users and shows whether they are online or offline.

  7. Hi!

A win98 compatible non-outdated segmented downloading capable dc++ client would be nice.

The latest version of original DC++ now uses unicows.dll and (probably) works on win98, so this part may be portable to ApexDC++.

    Others:

-easy way to remove something from download queue (without open the download queue window)

-ban user from downloading (I hate users who download at 1 MB/s from me and use 5 kb/s netlimiter).

-flexible thread management (preferrable user (who I'm downloading at high speed from) with one click, so I won't lose its slot).

    Sorry for my bad English.

    Welcome. :)

    • Banning won't be implemented: leecher tool
    • Removing file from the transfer view is nice, I hope Big Muscle implements this in RC11
    • Explain flexible thread management

  8. Please note that this list is very basic, an extensive to do list is available in the beta/donator forum. :)

These features will be looked at, and attempted to be coded into one of the 1.0 beta versions:

    • Update IP on startup
    • Update IP every x minutes
    • Update check converted to News type system (informs user of new version and community updateds)
    • Check Settings (with improvements)
    • Auto detect IP
    • Multiple away messages
    • Extra connection speed tags in General settings (for old DC++ way)
    • Winamp toolbar (no winamp window)
    • Keyboard shortcuts to menu options
    • Windows > Disconnect Filelists, Offline, etc
    • Favourite Hubs sorting
    • Password protection
    • Enhanced tab handling (FulDC)
    • First time setup guide
    • Have /example main chat commands (extensive /stats, /google, /apexdc, etc)
    • Permanent main chat and PM ignore lists
    • Nerdcore, PeerWeb and other emoticon packs
    • Winamp spam in dimmed colour (so it doesnt stand out)
    • Disable sound in PM only
    • Enhanced /clear commands (including a clear chat button)
    • Super seeding (requires re-write)
    • More to be added

These features above do not need to be requested again. We're already going to take a look at them for 1.0. We plan to re-arrange the settings page to be more organised, improve the language so beginners understand certain settings, with a possibility of having a basic and advanced view.

This topic will be updated regulary. Last updated: 17th March 05.

  9. I Suggest To Leave it like it was in peerweb a new window, but improve something in it, i don't know ...

Please reframe from suggesting something and then saying "I don't know". It makes us think you don't know what you want yourself. :)

  10. Lee everything that can be done with 2003 can also be done with 2005, the compiler itself is never a limitation.

(unless you use some really basic free compiler)

I meant in terms of your ability to use VS 2005, since it's changed..

  11. So...... are you not going to add them?

They're useful features, so we'll look into it. We already have a huge list for 1.0 beta 1, meaning the more we add the later it gets released. Depending on whether these features can be added using Visual Studio 2005, sure.
